Hi im starting a server with my freind, we just got all the plugins working correctly then bought a vps from myhosting. pretty decent server...if i remember correctly debian OS 2.1 xeon and 3GB memory. after we moved all our plugins over and everything we decided to stress test the server. as soon as we got around 6-7 people the memory shot up to its full usage which i think is normal as i gave it all 3GB of memory to use and we do have alot of plugins. but the problem was the cpu load average was like 1.8, 1.5, 1.3. so i thought maybe we had too many people on so i kicked them all off except for me and my freind, but the problem didnt go away. Randomly our cpu will go up to around 1.5 etc etc.
Ive read about turning off garbage collector and using a RAMDISK but ive heard that is pretty much outdated and dosent help very much anymore. so im trying to cut down on cpu load if anyone has any tips i would love to hear them.
Try removing all but the most essential plugins, and then add them back in small groups to narrow it down. I suspect one or more of your plugins may be causing the problem.
