Heya. I'm considering to buy server hosting services from a company, but was concerned about Hamachi. When I hosted a server from my own computer, mainly for me and my friend, my friend used to need Hamachi to connect.
But now, seeing that I'm not hosting the server myself, but renting it from elsewhere, would my friend still need Hamachi (and somehow set it up to connect to correct network) to play?
With the small knowledge I have about these things, I'd throw a good guess that the hosting company won't be setting up their own Hamachi network for everyone renting their services :smile.gif:
hamachi is for people who can't/don't know how to port forward when running a home server.
a paid for rented server hosted by a company will be fully port forwarded and can be connected to via the minecraft client without any extra software

Excellent, thank you for a quick reply!
