Hello everyone, as we all know E3 was this week and we learned that Minecraft will be ported over to the XBOX 360 in the Winter. *Disclaimer* I am not a Sony fanboy, sure i get my gaming fix on only PC and PS3 but I do like a lot of the features of the 360, i just really like the PS3 and its exclusives, along with its store, PS Home, friends list, Qtricoty (think i misspelled) etc. etc. But does anyone know if Minecraft will ever be on the PS3? and why did Microsoft get it first? Of course Mojang being on the Microsoft payroll will put ALOT of money into Notch's pocket but i heard that different team of developers are porting it over to the 360, i doubt they will change much about the game but I'm not sure. Right now Minecraft is a cash cow and Microsoft was smart to go ahead and give the ok to put it up in their Marketplace. Will Minecraft be on the Indie Arcade? Will it be a single 60 dollar title you would find at your local game store? Or will it be on the normal Arcade with a price of 30 bucks like Notch said the PC and Mac version would be for retail when it is fully released. And that leads me to another question, since Minecraft is in Beta currently and there's no sign that Notch will slow down with the updates and get it out of beta and release it as a full game will the Xbox have it as a full title? Or will Notch still be adding updates to the Xbox version as well and it will still be in beta. I hope Notch doesn't pull Minecraft out of beta just yet, this game has a LOT of potential and very devoted fans like us. It sort of upsets me a little, even though i want more people to play and love Minecraft I would like it to just stay on the PC and Mac, even though it is very popular it still is considered an Indie game and i really like that it's out of the very mainstream group of games such as Call of Duty, who basically just throw out the same game every year with a new story, new character models, and incredibly minor tweaks to their engine. And Xbox players are at a disadvantage, they don't get the wonderful mods, texture packs, and other things that makes us coming back to Minecraft again and again and clocking in insane hours moderating our servers, trying new texture packs, making skins, and just having a grand old time with the game. Sorry for my long length and my babbling about, I'm sure this paragraph is filled with typos and run-on sentences, i apologize, but I would like to get my opinion out there to everyone and to hear your feedback.
Many Thanks,
Cake
