Very Glad to hear the port forwarding problem has been solved.
regarding starting the server,
-delete the @echo off while debugging, you can put it back in once it all works again
-Given that error, I would suggest the following
-try "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar"
-open a command prompt and do "java -version" to find what version you have. It should look something like this
-your version should at least be 1.6 something
-It wouldnt hurt to update java anyway if you dont already have the latest version. If you want to save time, try this first: Redownload the Minecraft Server, and make SURE that it is named EXACTLY as indicated in your batch file (i.e. "minecraft_server.jar") and is located in the same directory as the batch file
