Ok, i really hate what they did with the new minecraft root folder and launcher, it made installing mods a little bit more difficult and i think it's just a waste of addition to minecraft.
I'm trying to install multiple mods for the new minecraft 1.6.2, and it seems like there is no freaking way to do it. i tried searching the web, but all they have is how to install One separate mod and not together, for example: I want to install Optifine and Modloader/Forge, but people only shows you how to install optifine or modloader/forge. So i tried to install optifine first then drag all the mods i want into that jar (like how you would install mods) BUT- it won't load up... so i need you help on teaching me how to install multiple mods into 1 Version/jar
Actually it would help a lot more if you guys tell me how to install the following mod:
-Optifine
-Forge/modloader
-Treecapitator or any mods that's like that
i think there was talk about easier mod installing... but idk dont think they implemented it yet so.... and i havent installed my usual mods yet to be bothered figuring it out for ya (sorry...)
i do believe magiclauncher supports it right now so you could run a few tests via that (never used it so cant say how it is)
You NEED forge for Optifine to work so first install forge.
Then do optifine.
Just as you would if you were only installing one, just do them one at a time, starting with forge.
They will not conflict so as long as you install forge first, just download every mod as if it were the only mod you were downloading.

Download and run the Forge installer: http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge/minecraftforge-installer-1.6.2-9.10.0.789.jar
This will create a new profile in your launcher called 'Forge', select that and run the game. Once it's working correctly, close Minecraft and the launcher. The procedure for installing OptiFine can vary between systems, so please tell us your operating system (e.g. Windows 7, Mac OS X, etc.).

so just dragg the mods into the forge jar?
Follow the individual instructions for each.
Just make sure forge is first.
That's it.
but if i do it for each then there would be multiple different jars and i would only be able to play one of the jar
No... Just do it, forge first then whatever mod next, launch Minecraft and you're golden.
