So my windows 10 edition is now on 1.7.0 and I was hoping this issue would be resolved with an update but I was wrong. After loading up from the MINECRAFT screen the menu completely lags. I am unable to change skins, open worlds, play on multiplayer, nothing. The menu screen would freeze frame every few seconds while not loading anything that I have clicked. At first I thought it was something wrong with my laptop but all other apps work perfectly fine as well as my Java edition Minecraft. At this point I don't know what to do.I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting the app, nothing at all.
I have this same issue. But it's not minecraft doing it. It's "Service Host: Web Account Manager"
You will only get this issue when minecraft tries to sign you into xbox live. Account manager will then want to use 90% or more of your processor. You will also get this same lag using anything that signs you into xbox live even just the xbox app. I have not yet found a fix for this.
You can see this for your self by loading "task manager" Scroll down til you can see "Service Host: Web Account Manager" Then select it But don't do anything to it yet. Launch minecraft win10 ed You can watch as the usage goes from 0.8% to 90%+ in a few seconds. It will take a while but you can then go back to the task manager and click end process. Once the process finally ends you can play minecraft. BUTDoing this will sign you out ox xbox live and you will not be able to see or play on servers / realms. Until you sign back into xbox live. But the whole thing starts over.
