background: my parents got my twin boys kindle fires for their birthday a while ago and i allowed them to take them to their dad's house that night. all i had had time to do was charge them. he took it upon himself to register them to his amazon account and buy them a whole bunch of things, including minecraft. at the time, i was moving and going through our divorce and didn't really think about what was going on. now, i am tired of my ex-husband having complete control of their devices with no regard to my wishes. (the boys are 9.) he won't let me be a part of setting up the parental controls, has a password on purchasing so i can't even get them a free app, and has inappropriate music on their devices. he doesn't get them things when they ask and then they come back to me for a week and i can't do anything about it. he will not just delete the credit cards off his account and give me the parental control password. these kindles were bought by MY parents who are also not happy with him controlling them. he did it just to be mean and have some contol over me since i left him.
now that i'm fed up, i'm willing to buy (my mom is willing to help since she is also fed up) the apps they want that he has already purchased, but what the boys are most concerned about are the worlds they have created in minecraft... is there ANY way at all to save them somewhere, somehow, and re-load them back onto their kindles after i re-register them under my account and download the game again? i am desperate at this point as this is the ONLY thing keeping me from moving them to my account. they understand my frustration and want to be able to this! thanks in advance.

I do know how to do it luckily, Here are the steps; On your old kindle make an account at www.dropbox.com . After you have done the following, Go to the little icon on the right hand corner of this link;www.drobbox.com/home(After you have signed up) if it says you dont have an account, sign in and it will redirect you back to the home. Next, go to the amazon appstore and search up the following;ES File Explorer And go ahead and download it.In the application, Scroll down untill you find the folder: Games. Inside of it, tap, com.mojang, then MinecraftWorlds. Ask the twins what worlds the want, then hold down the folders with the world names on the and then slelect the rest. On the tool bar; It will say something like Copy and other stuff. Go ahead and tap "More." (The tool bar is on the right-hand side.) There will be more options on the "More tool bar." Press compress and it will make a .zip file. Do the same thing with the rest of the worlds you want. Go back to dropbox and in the right-hand corner press where it has a icon of a file that has an up-arrow on the top. Then upload the .zip file(s) and go to your new kindle. Then, Go to the appstore and download the following: ES File Explorer . Sign in to your dropbox account and go to the home. Download the files you uploaded and then go to your Es File Explorer. Go and scroll till you find "Downloads" (Folder) You should find the .zip file(s) you downloaded. Extract them to the minecraft worlds folder. (Extract option in the more thing.) You should have the worlds you wanted. Thank you and hope I helped!

Actually, when you uninstall MCPE on Android the worlds are saved automatically...
You can still use this as a precaution but it is not needed.
Better be safe than sorry.
Nice post by the way +1 for you my friend.
You could also transfer the Zip files to a PC via USB instead of using a website...

I found this thread trying to find out how to transfer my son's precious worlds to his new kindle. I tried to use ES explorer to find the world folder but I don't see it. If I delete the app from the old kindle and then log in on the new one, they will magically appear? Understand my worry about deleting the app. yikes. Thought I'd ask again now that it's 2023 and this thread is about 10 years old. Any updates to how to transfer worlds?
