Anytime i try to run any version, modded or not, i always get
"Error"

"Unable to create directory. Error details: The media is write protected. Filename on disk: windows-x64_staging Path: D:\runtime\java-runtime-alpha\windows-x64_staging Exists: Nonexistent"
i've tried everything i can to fix it
nothing works
You should try to uninstall any non production-ready versions of java, sometimes they don't play well with multiple java installations, and Minecraft provide its own JRE.

Reinstall your Minecraft at C:\
Or check your D:\ drive's write protection and remove it
