On my computer, opening Minecraft the first time works. So the next day, I get an Invalid Session ID, so I try to open the launcher again. However, it doesn't respond (it doesn't bounce up and down). I can't Force Quit since it's not open. Luckily, I found I can open the one from the Install rather than the Applications one, but the next I have the same issue. Then, I have to log out and back in on my computer, which resets the cycle. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
As a possible workaround, please navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft Launcher and delete the 'game' folder, then try launching the game again.
I looked up how to access program files and I found some files for some of my apps, but I couldn't find the files for the Minecraft Launcher. If anyone knows where the files are for Mac I'd appreciate that but I'll continue looking up stuff.
The Minecraft files for Mac OS are In the invisible Library file associated with your username. You can use the "Go" dropdown from the Finder and select Go to Folder. Type ~yourusername/Library/ to find the minecraft and Minecraft Launcher folders.
I went to the library, but I couldn't find any folders related to Minecraft there.
I ended up finding the issue. It doesn't work only if I close out the java window I guess after it tells me "Invalid session", so I just close it when I'm done for the time being.
I just discovered there's a "Quit Game" button and you don't have to "x" out the tab.

Did you test it with reinstalling Minecraft?

I saw that, but it works again after logging out and back in, so I thought my issue was different. But I'll try that, thanks!
How do you get to that path?
Put it in file explorer on the top bar, Just copy/paste it

I don't have File Explorer, is there a way I can get to it without File Explorer?
every windows device comes with file explorer. what is your OS
what is happening?
what what what
it seems like Sarium, the God of Chaos returned....
oh no
To clarify, I have an Apple computer. I tried plugging that path into Finder but it seems like the folder probably has a different name.
Check the app package folder and see if it's in there. I don't use a mac sadly
