I have just got a new PC and tried to run minecraft and got Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main. I have already tried reinstalling, deleting .minecraft, reinstalling java, and changing .minecraft location. Does anyone know what is going on?
I was trying to disable windows defender, but result was the same. I have also tried old launcher, but it also does not work. Now I navigated to .minecraft/versions/1.16.3 and tried to launch .jar file but apperantly i dont have acces to launch it. Is it possible that launcher doesn't have enough priorities?

Maybe something on your system blocking the download - disable firewall and anti-virus
If it is not helping, try the old Minecraft Launcher: https://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Download/launcher/Minecraft.exe
Thank you for reply!

Remove the .minecraft-folder again from %appdata%
I tried it right now and still doesn't work.
You can't launch the jar file directly, either you use the new launcher or the old Minecraft.jar launcher.
Check the debug button in the first screenshot of the ”new” launcher and try again posting the whole result.
Does your windows account have enough privileges to run games?
Also post the crash log if you find it (maybe there's no crash log until the main java game starts).
Run also ADWCleaner: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
and test it again
OK, I tried everything, and I didn't find any success.
What about your pc-name you are hiding with red - are there some special characters in it?
Try to change your game-location as described here: https://minecraftirc.net/support-articles/changing-working-directory/
Oh that is possibile, im hiding it, because its my real name. I don't fell comfortable revealing my real name, but I'll say it has character č in it.
Then the given link with changing your direction with the desktop-shortcut will help you
Having special characters in your windows username, or an exclamation mark at the end, breaks Java's ability to work with files needed for Minecraft.
See this: https://minecrafthopper.net/help/special-characters/
Thank you guys so much! Now it works perfectly fine
Glad to hear
Java just can't read that character - with changing the direction you avoid going through the pc-name-direction
Don't forget that your files are now located at %programdata% instead of %appdata%
