I Use optifine, and it seems to drop to like 35 fps when loading into a new chunk which is every 7 seconds or so. I never used to get this...
I have a gtx 1070
i7 8700
16gb of ram
On avg i get 400 fps and its really weird that this happens.. is their anyone that knows of a fix?
I only use 8 render distance btw
solarslive Run a malware scan that might be using up your ram or CPU usage. I prefer Norton Power Scan but if you think theres no viruses in your system. You probably need to intall Java 64 bit and Allocate more ram to Minecraft. Default Minecraft Ram is 1GB which is not enough for latest Minecraft Versions.

More RAM does not equal more FPS, that's a myth. Allocating more RAM won't improve performance.
solarslive, could you please post a screenshot of your F3 debug screen so that we can see your specs and settings?

Minecraft is a badly coded game, only Mojang can fix it.
