So, I got a new computer awhile ago, there's this bug whenever I play that makes everything look bright, even if there's no torches down. It may seem like a good thing, but when mobs are spawning around you and you can't see light levels, it kind of sucks. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.
JVM Arguments:
-Xmx2G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M

Get rid of Optifine.
Still an issue outside of Optifine.
Still need help with this.
Go into your options.txt file in your installation and set your gamma to 1.0.
