Hey, about a week ago I was playing Minecraft perfectly fine, take a break and try to open the launcher, I was greeted with "your game is already running, already joined the game as this user".
I play Minecraft offline.
Since then I haven't been able to launch Minecraft
Their are no (none at all) Java processes running in the task manager, I have reinstalled Minecraft many times, deleted all my files in "roaming" and reinstalled and still the launcher says the game is running?
Can anyone please suggest a fix? I have tried basically everything I can think of and nothing..
I have restarted the pc many times, as mentioned I play mc offline, other than downloading Minecraft the computer doesn't have access to the internet, I downloaded a virus scanner earlier and the scan came back fine (it's basically a factory reset windows 10 PC with Minecraft downloaded and gpu drivers)
I checked all my emails and stuff, reset my password therefore signing anyone else out of my account due to needing to input my password.
I don't think this is something as simple as restart the PC or I've been hacked..
Thanks for the reply!
The PC specs are:
Gtx windforce 750ti
Quad core i3 Q8400
8gb ram
Minecraft was able to run at 100+ fps perfectly for weeks and all of a sudden it gave this error.. every time I click the option "start game anyway" the launcher just shows "not responding" and loads for a very long time.

Is this the only device you have? Maybe you could have Minecraft signed in on other devices you may have used. If the error continues to happen you should contact support on Minecraft Help Center or Minecraft Bug Tracker. I don't know if there is a way to "refresh" or deactivate and activate your account, but if there is you should try that too.
Malwarebytes ADWCleaner is an utility to clean a PC which is infested with malware.
Download it here: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/adwcleaner
Run a Scan, remove any malware found, restart the computer.

Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!
That link is for account/billing issues only. Mojang does not have a technical support team and would redirect the OP back to the forums. The bug tracker is for bugs only. If OPs issue was a bug, everyone would experience it.
As mentioned above, the computer has only ever had Minecraft and a virus scanner installed, it's not malware..
ADWCleaner can find maleware that an antivirus can't find.

Have you tried enabling the game output (in launcher settings, lower-left corner)? Reports of similar issues on the bug tracker have often had some sort of output and/or error code; for example (see second screenshot, which is why they marked the report as a duplicate of this report). The launcher log may also have errors in it.
Also, just because you have an antivirus doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have any malware, or incompatible software (see the last link above).
That said, I did find a couple bug reports which suggest that there is an actual issue with the launcher (both marked as unresolved, community consensus), there is no definite resolution given though, other than the usual things like restarting or killing any background Java processes (certain game crashes can leave a background process running):

I see their it shows it's running 4 minecraft launchers although they all come under the same process in task manager and ending any of those tasks just ends the current minecraft launcher and doesn't resolve the problem and as mentioned I tried a different launcher.
I've run multiple virus scans including ADWcleaner.

Thanks for reading.
I think if you just restarted your PC it would be more useful than reinstalling Minecraft. If it doesn't work someone might have invaded your account.

And the login was fine, didnt load Into a world, just launched mc
I previously would sign into my account at home while the account at my friend's was fine to play also
Bump
This issue is usually caused by malware.

Did you already make a thread on Minecraft Bug Tracker? You can also try this: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new or enter Minecraft discord and ask it on the support channels.

Hum I see, but technically this is an account issue and a bug at the same time. But anyways, you can still talk to someone on discord.
I have tried the official Minecraft support discord and was ignored, still awaiting a reply..
I just wanna play Minecraft

MCL-12955 Says that the game is already running
MCL-13519 Launcher incorrectly claims that the game is already running
TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Great idea! I didn't think of that! I personally always run my game with game output.
Here is a paste bin of the launcher logs

I have tried downloading and launching Minecraft through a different launcher (Badlion Client) and still the client says a game is running?..
Post a hjt log https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/java-edition-support/2425225-how-to-get-a-hijackthis-hjt-report
Here is the hjt log, I have since removed Razer synapse (the log is from last night)
