So, recently my laptop started lagging. It's a powerful laptop and should be able to handle Minecraft easily. However, recently It began to lag while going into lobbies and when there are a lot of players around me. I checked my task manager and my PC is only using around 20% of the GPU and CPU and around 50% of the ram. I'm confused because I don't know what to do. I checked and whenever there is a lag spike, it's render lag. I changed my power settings to high performance and changed the settings to run on the dedicated GPU. I also set the priority to high. Please help.
My specs are if you need it:
CPU: Intel i7 10750H
GPU: Geforce RTX 2070
RAM: 16GB 2666 Mhz
OS: Win 10
Launcher: Badlion Client, but still applies to normal launcher

It's probably throttling - check your temps.

I don't laptop but I occasionally need to play with the autosave time period.
Every now and then too much or too little time causes a lag that goes away once I find the magic number.
It seemed to me that time changed with some new versions.
