Greetings.
I have this issue with my game where if I try crafting something new from a mod (happens at random, not 100% of the time), the game crashes.
I am running the current latest version of Forge and I have pastebins of the log here. Also running the latest version of Java and without Optifine.
This does not happen again if I restart the game and try to craft the same item, but it will crash again with another new item.
This is for Minecraft 1.12.2

There is some reference to the crafting guidebook. Do you have any mods that change the default crafting guide?
Since it's with crafting as well, it could be something with that.

I guess? Maybe it is Tinkers Construct and Mr. Crayfish but they are both the latest version
I don't think that will work, at least not accurately as I said that it works half the time, whether it be modded items or not
