so after installing forge and setting everything up I started up the game with a few mods. after looking at the mods iv seen that none of the mods have the option to config. also I cant config them when in-game as the mod menu does not show up there. so did I install the mods wrong or did I do something wrong when installing forge? I really only like a few mods right now so I'm not loading any heavy mod load right now so whats going on. will post pics if that helps me fix this.
Not all mods have or need a config/give config menu access in 1.14 compared to 1.12.2, I think it's not finished yet the menu display/access in 1.14.
If there isn't configs usually it's up to you to ask the developer or make changes yourself with the files/API if it uses other aspects from other mods/developers files.
But typically if the mod doesn't have the config option appear in the mod options menu just check the config folder in your .minecraft (or the server config folder in the save file) and open it with Notepad or something like that then edit the changes. Just go to similar to the image below. I check these all the time when doing spotlights so it's habit.

Providing a config file for a mod is 100% optional. Its up to the mod author to include one.
Did you look in the config folder?
