I talked to mojang about this and unfortunately was told that they have no support team, which is crazy for a company that sold Minecraft for 2.5 billion. So I decided to come hear to ask for help. Minecraft 1.8.9 and 1.9 run with no problem but when I go play 1.10 I have to play with Optifine and low settings. Therefore, feel free to comment down below suggestions except do not comment the basics.
There's no answer to that, maybe your computer isn't realy good, and when you go in a more instable version(I loose almost 50 fps between 1.9 and 1.10) you computer have difficulty to run it.
I know my computer can run it because it runs 1.8.9 with 70fps but 1.10 runs with 20fps and plus I can run more graphic intensive games other than minecraft with no problem!
We need the actual specs though. Just because a computer is new doesn't make it the best in every possible scenario.
What version of windows? How much RAM? What CPU model and clock speed? What graphics card? What version of Java? What's in your options.txt? Is this a laptop or a desktop?

Post your computer specs
Have a AMD GPU? If so go into task manager and close a program called Plays.tv.
Otherwise make sure GPU Drivers are up to date.
