I was so excited to try 1.9, and when I tried making a world, this crash report happened:

I actually have the same exact issue. I started a new save and when it loads it says "Building Terrain", I float in the sky for a second with no land below me (As usual) and then I get that message. I tried starting a superflat, large biome, and normal biome world and no difference.
I would really like to know how to fix this as well

Make sure VBOs and VSync is on!
Launch Minecraft > Options > Video Settings > Use VSync / VBOs = On!
