i have a wager its something about graphics though
you may be on to something sir, i got all the way to the main menu with the recommended, then i went further back to "forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1448-1.7.10" and got to the "building terrain text. somewhere in those 2 versions will work i m sure, thanks lol i'd forgotten about the mods' picky-ness

If you're using the latest version of Shaders Mod, there should be no reason to go back THAT far. The current recommended Forge version for 1.7.10 (1558) is in the latest Shaders Mod's accepted range.

oh. it was all Optifine. It was Optifine's fault :/
when it said i needed optifine ultra to use shaders, i thought about my optifine (it was in fact ultra) so i took it out and everything works OK enough. thanks for the tips you two
im now using forge 10.13.4.1614 and only the internal shaders.
i remember in an older post about optifine, ultra version needs to use specific versions of forge.
it worked fine then ("then" being before the problems). i uninstalled it, it crashed at "Building Terrain" (then i took the report), reinstalled a different version, and it worked.
in the end i just removed it entirely. i dont know much if anything about coding or java, but i can at least see what's not workin' with what.
i also uninstalled more mods after i got it working when i uninstalled the 2nd attempt of optifine. just to be sure. also to free space. (but i digress)
i think it couldve just been bad settings like mipmapping, now i think of it.
i noticed more lag than normal when changing some settings on the 2nd optifine...like the game would freeze for a minute then be ok or crash. but its something with optifine, i know that much.
====
thought occurs, maybe bad compatibility between Item Physics and Optifine? like rendering?
the different versions of the shaders had the same trouble, i'd use anything but internal and they'd crash right there. internal would only let me play for a bit at a time and close the game. and the recommended forge wouldnt work with liteloader for whatever reason,. at least, not as good as it was supposed to. a better way of saying what i did, was
uninstall a mod,
run minecraft,
crash,
reinstall the mod,
move to the next mod.
it all worked when optifine was removed. then i installed another version (standard) it crashed,
removed GLSL, it still crashed.
it was optifine and forge. they did not want to work together. it wasnt GLSL. after i uninstalled optifine, i had removed glsl and other mods to make playing minecraft more simple.
but i should clarify in case, GLSL worked fine, but only without optifine.but i uninstalled it anyway
here's the report, the mods are there.
i'm not sure what mad these not co-operate, they worked on my friend's computer i used a year and a half ago. so yeah...i just dont know :/

Downgrade Forge to the recommended 1.7.10 version and make sure you're using th latest Shaders Mod version. Shaders Mod is very picky about Forge.
Realistic Torches - Causes torches to burn out after a configurable amount of time.
Nature's Compass - A utility item that allows you to search for any biome's location in the world.
Notes - Provides a clientside in-game notepad.
Souls - After you die, a hostile Soul that stores your inventory will spawn.
Auto Refresh - Automatically refreshes your server list and alerts you when your selected server comes online.
Pick Block Plus - A clientside mod that significantly improves the vanilla pick block function.
And a few others that we don't talk about.
