I've been getting a black screen in Minecraft when using low-end shaders. It's not like a crash, but It's more like the terrain goes black, but the game is still usable. I have an AMD A10 6800k, and an ASUS r9 270. All drivers up to date. And yes, I have optifine.
I can also run SEUS, but not low end shaders. Weird.
Don't think it's related to Optifine as I have the same issue randomly occurs on my end, but I don't use Optifine. Mine occurs randomly at low depths and randomly. Add-ons are up-to-date, and drivers are good to go. Using GTX 660ti.

Try uninstalling optifine and see if that works.
