Hello, I have recently built a new computer, and ever since I've starter playing minecraft on it, I get an error with java. This only happens under certain circumstances, though. If I never click out of my minecraft browser, it is fine, but if I click on another program, for example, Google chrome, after a few seconds it pops up with the error. I have tried reinstalling Java, making sure I had 64 bit, as that's my system. I have tried deleting .minecraft, restarting my computer, and I can not think of anything to do. Other people have had this problem, but I can not seem to find a solution through their threads.
I'm interested in a solution to this as well. I am having the exact same problem. I've tried re-installing Java as well as updating any drivers that may have been out of date. But nothing seems to fix the problem. This has only just started happening after the most recent update. Prior to 1.7.9 I wasn't having this problem.
Same exact issue here, and it's very problematic as I'm tabbing out doing server maintenance while playing sometimes- and the worst part is, it doesn't do it all the time. I wasn't having any issues prior to downloading the newest update.
If I launch minecraft, and tab out, or switch to another window it freezes. If I leave it open, but don't do anything, it flickers at me every now and then, but doesn't always do it. I've tried reinstalling Java, Fresh reinstall of Minecraft, and using older versions (1.7.2, 1.7.5, etc). When in single player, it still flickers, but doesn't freeze. If I'm connected to my server it flickers and freezes when I tab out.
I'm running Java x64 version 7 with update 55, build 1.7.0_55-b13 with Windows 7 x64 Pro.
The worse issue I have here, is that I play Technic and it DOESN'T have this issue at all- it seems to be an issue with vanilla MC. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Mine does it with whatever I do or have. I use optifine-does it. Vanilla-does it. The weird part to me though, is sometimes it doesn't do it at all. But the next time I boot up my computer it starts doing this again. It bugs me a lot because I livestream and I always have to be messing around with the chat on twitch.
I just updated my graphics driver too, and still no luck. Thinking this is a MC -> Java communication issue.
Oh, forgot to add, I allocated 4GB of ram to MC to make sure it wasn't doing something silly like running out of ram. I have 16GB in my system, so 4 is a drop in a lake. Still having the issue, and mainly when I'm connected to my MC server. I can recreate the freeze easily if I connect to the server and tab out.. it doesn't freeze in single player.
I see many threads popping up here and there with this issue but still no response from MC devs/support or any other person that fixed that problem.
Have gotten this error message in the Launchers Log after closing Minecraft, This should definitely help fix the problem I assume...
Devs please ^^ have a heart

How did you get that log? I'm looking in the logs folder, and there is a 'latest.log' file, but it doesn't have info about the java freezing crash, it just seems to stop recording anything at all- the last thing in the log is a plugin on my server notifying me it's loaded.
Same problem here, happens on 1.7.5 or 1.7.9, if I tab out of Minecraft it stops responding but the music plays and it still responds in background (main menu will still move, people keep chatting in servers), I found waiting for about 5 minutes it'll recognise that its still responding though. :c

You wouldn't happen to also have AMD gaming evolved installed as well, I just uninstalled it and deleted its settings file in the .minecraft folder and don't seem to be having problems now
Ok, I discovered I can play it and tab out all I want as long as I don't maximize the window. Not fullscreen, but press the button to make it take up all the room on my screen while still having the title bar at the top. It's a workaround for me for now.. but this is very frustrating.
Edit: Alright- as soon as I resize the window to try and make it a bit larger, it starts freezing again D:
Edit2: Nope. Keeps crashing even without resizing.. oh well -.-;
Oh I made a new thread before I found this one..
But yeah, seems a lot of people are having this issue :/
I use AMD Gaming Evolved App (Raptr), I use an AMD graphics card with the latest beta driver (16.4 beta) and I'm on Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
Has anyone found a solution yet?

Where can I find these settings file for AMD GE on .minecraft folder?
Edit: I found it, deleted it (because I had used raptr to "optimize" the graphics settings) but nothing changed..
Edit 2: I turned both raptr and bandicam off, the game didn't froze so far.
I uninstalled raptr from my computer, and it seems to be running fine. Thank you guys. If you have it installed, try to do the same and tell me if it comes with the same outcome.
Ohhhh! I'm using Raptr as well! Let me see if maybe that's causing some shenanigans!
Edit: OMFG. I can't thank you guys enough!! It looks like Raptr was the cause of it! I just closed it and have been running MC without issues! Seems the new version of MC (while finally detected by Raptr) is not fully compatible with it. YAY! So glad it's fixed, thank you!
