Hello all,
My firewall appears to be blocking incoming and outcoming connections for Minecraft. Because of this, I cannot play on LAN with my brother. I tested to see if it was the firewall, and switched it off. It then began to work again. His computer does have a firewall and does let Minecraft through, curiously. He can get on his friends' servers.
I don't want to switch my firewall off, so is there another way to let Minecraft bypass the firewall?
That would depend on what firewall software you have installed, add javaw.exe (C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe) into the exception list of the software and you should be good to go.
