Hi there, to give a brief history, I have been playing Minecraft for well over 2 years without any problems or issues.However, when the 1.6 update (yes it has been a while) that introduced horses and a few new items was released, my client started acting strangely. (This applies to every update after 1.6)
A few issues that plague me are;
Minecraft client flickers constantly while I'm on it.
Loss of control character, ie; he will start jumping, moving in one direction untill I hit that same button, jumping up constantly, or in creative, flying down
Whenever I enter any text into anything, it deletes itself, whether it be entering a world seed in, typing a command into chat, saying anything in chat, or renaming any items, any word I type will be deleted. (I think it has to do with the flickering)
Now I have played Minecraft for the last few months with these issues, and it seems that removing any of the files or all of them, and re-installing the client have not worked for me. I have gone back to past versions such as 1.5.4, right before the horse update, and my client runs flawlessly again, with no issues.
I'm currently running on Windows 7, my graphics card is an old gtx 560, and yes, java is at the latest update. I'm hoping someone will be able to shed any light on this, and thanks for your time If there's any other info needed, just ask.

Update: It seems that my client is slightly more stable in the 1.7.4 client version. I can type commands or chat without the text being deleted. Also, one thing I forgot to mention was that the client would freeze when I died in game, and the only way to respawn was to exit out of the game and restart it. That is no longer an issue as well. Now it just seems that the client is constantly flashing (flickering) constantly.
Just a side note, how do I completely erase the minecraft files? I went to the .minecraft folder and tried to delete everything from screenshots, to maps, to bin figures, texture packs, and mods, but they all re-appear when I download the client of minecraft.net? Thanks.
A few issues that plague me are;
Minecraft client flickers constantly while I'm on it.
Loss of control character, ie; he will start jumping, moving in one direction untill I hit that same button, jumping up constantly, or in creative, flying down

Here is my dxdiag results
Screenshots wouldn't work as it wouldn't catch whats happening, but I can try to upload a 30 second segment on youtube if you would like.
Just a side note, how do I completely erase the minecraft files? I went to the .minecraft folder and tried to delete everything from screenshots, to maps, to bin figures, texture packs, and mods, but they all re-appear when I download the client of minecraft.net? Thanks.
