When you press F3 you get this horrible pie graph showing performance status. It seems ever since 1.5.1 I haven't been able to turn this friggin thing off.
Shift+F3 does NOT make it go away, that just displays the lagometer.
when i get a windows 8 computer ill try remember to reply. If i dont reply in oct remind me in nov and ill fiddle around with it
and try to see how to disable

Retired Stafffn+f3? like my laptops function key? or are you making a mac reference?
fn+f3 for me will disable my wifi

Curse PremiumI got windows 8, and have tried FN+F3 but it turns off my wifi and all. bloody annoy it is and have tried so many thing :L
