Every time I try to open minecraft, a little java icon pops up in my task bar but everything freezes and lags and minecraft never opens. It started doing this out of nowhere. It was running fine. I didn't try to put any mods or texture packs on it.
I've tried a number of things:
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling both minecraft and java.
2. Restarting my computer.
3. Deleting all traces of minecraft from my computer.
It still won't work.
OS is Windows 7.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Sure~

Are you sure you have java installed? if so, make sure it's the latest version and it's not the JDK or something.
Try also to download the 64bit version or if you're using it already, try to download the 32 bit version.
If any of those work, try launching it with the .jar instead of the .exe

Yeah, java's installed. But there is no .jar file. And I just have the .exe but it does nothing.
