Ever since i installed Windows 8 (about a week ago) whenever i try to log into minecraft it is stuck at logging in, at first i was using Feed the Beast, then i tried Magic launcher and then i even tried the vanilla launcher and they all have the same results. Anyone able to help
Are they from the video card manufacturer or from microsoft (windows update/device manager)?
Microsoft strips openGL support from video drivers before distributing them. They want to force developers to use DirectX instead of openGL.
So yes, most games will work with the MS provided drivers, because those other games run on DirectX. Minecraft doesn't, it uses OpenGL.
The drivers you get from the video card manufacturers site will include openGL support.
I got them from the Nvidia site itself, but i don't think its a graphics issue cause when i try to log in i don't think its even connecting cause i could be gibberish in and it just sits at logging in and never tells me its the wrong username/password

Could be windows security settings if it's not an AV.
