Hey guys another idea I have for minecraft is a new biome. It has been a long time since minecraft got a new biome and I think it's time it finally did get one I present to you all the nuclear waste biome. This biome would be themed about nuclear waste. The ground would be black which will introduce a new block black grass. The black grass used to be normal grass but it was tainted by the nuclear waste. Their would also be toxic waters which would be green in color and would act in a simliar way to lava. The biome itself is toxic the only way a player can go in there would have to be wearing a hazmat suit each piece of the hazmat suit requires wool and iron ingots to craft. Now it's onto the mobs while normal mobs such as zombies do spawn here there would be a new mob called the toxic waste swimmer only found in toxic waste waters. This mob looks simliar to a eel it's green in color and has 20 health points they are aggressive mobs and attack by ramming the player also the hazmat suit provides protection agaisnt the toxic water so the player can go in them. Another mob that would spawn there would be a land mob called the cockroach. This cockroach would be huge compared to reality's cockroaches. It would be neutral and would have the same health points as a spider. So what do you guys think of my idea?
First off, that title is redundant. I think "The Nuclear Waste Biome" or "Nuclear Wasteland Biome" will suffice.
This wall of text format is hard to read, but I'll give it my best try.

Somehow, I can actually see this fitting into Minecraft, at least if it's only vaguely implied that the wasteland is because of radiation poisoning or nuclear arms.
The ground would be black which will introduce a new block black grass. This could work.
The black grass used to be normal grass but it was tainted by the nuclear waste.
Their would also be toxic waters which would be green in color and would act in a simliar way to lava. Part of me just wants this to just be plain old lava, because I'm not sure that it's necessary to have a liquid that only spawns in this biome.
The biome itself is toxic the only way a player can go in there would have to be wearing a hazmat suit each piece of the hazmat suit requires wool and iron ingots to craft. Aaaaand you lost me. We cannot have a dimension where you force me to put on armor because of some kind of realism.
Now it's onto the mobs while normal mobs such as zombies do spawn here there would be a new mob called the toxic waste swimmer only found in toxic waste waters. I still don't think this is reason enough to justify a clone of lava that doesn't glow.
This mob looks simliar to a eel it's green in color and has 20 health points they are aggressive mobs and attack by ramming the player also the hazmat suit provides protection agaisnt the toxic water so the player can go in them. But the player has to wear the hazmat suit anyway, so there's no point in programming the water to not do damage to people with the hazmat suit.
Another mob that would spawn there would be a land mob called the cockroach. This cockroach would be huge compared to reality's cockroaches. It would be neutral and would have the same health points as a spider. This could work, and I guess this explains the giant spiders too. I like the idea of giant cockroaches.
So what do you guys think of my idea?
Ehh, not quite Support.
First, toss out the hazmat suit idea. I don't want to change into a hazmat suit every time I enter this biome. (Although you never specified what stops players from going into the biome if they don't wear a suit.)
Second, the toxic water isn't really necessary. If you changed the color of water in the biome to green, that might be good enough.
I feel like the biome needs a bit more content. You've got some cool mobs, but none of them give any good rewards for killing them. The biome has black grass and toxic water lava, (Just make it lava.) but that's all it has. Maybe a new tree called the "ashen tree" that has grey, charred-looking wood? Maybe have pieces of junk lying around that the player can use for more "modern" decorations? (Things like metal barrels, crates, and other things that aren't too modern to not fit Minecraft, but easily fit into an apocolyptic or industrial setting.)

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.
This sounds too... "heavy industrial" for a game like this. The game could get away with some sort of lifeless wasteland as a biome, but not something with "nuclear" tied to it. It doesn't go side-by-side that well with potions and swords. All the world has is villages and caves, who exactly is dumping said waste? And what the guy above me said, putting a hazmat suit on just for the sake of making a nuclear biome feel more nuclear would get old fast.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I don't really think that nuclear products fit into Minecraft that well. However it would be nice to have some sort of poisonous biome. But I don't agree with the idea of nuclear products in Minecraft.
This has been request pre 1.12 and has never been imported into the game, Whether or not this has been suggested before a version that already came out means nothing. It's unlikely they would have put it in 1.12 anyway. If a new player spawns inside of the new biome - boom; killed by cockroaches.. You make a good point, maybe if the biome is within 1000 blocks of spawn, it's replaced with a much nicer biome, like a Forest or Desert biome? mutation in the real world doesn't make sense? I didn't get mutated when Fukushima melted down, I only got a higher chance of cancer and some other illnesses I had to be checked out for (I'm fine now). The huge cockroaches don't make sense. Clearly you've never watched Marvel Superheroes before. Yes, it makes no sense, but this suggestion's theme is parodying the pop culture idea of nuclear fallout, not trying to be realistic.
Minecraft is Minecraft (High Fantasy)
Fallout (what I think you're talking about) is Fallout (High Science)
Both genre's don't mix since Minecraft is not a HFS game.. It'll turn into North Korea.. don't want that This is only a problem because right now it is specifically a "Nuclear" wasteland. If you removed the "Nuclear" and only vaguely implied that this was a wasteland, this might be a more reasonable idea.
I'm not sure why I'm defending a suggestion that isn't mine, but the fact that you don't understand how pop culture v.s realism works just bugged me.
