I was thinking, about having an ingame day/year sorta thing. so say notch were to add this tomorrow, the in game date would be 1/1/11, and that would be the starting date for every new world. the only real reason for this is so you could track your time in game, and i think if date and year were done, the time should act like 1 min = 1 hour, and at the moment. the time is: 10 mins day, 7 min night, 1:30 min sunrise/sunset (each), making 20 in game hours. but if it were: 11 minutes day, 9 minute night and 2 min sunrise/sunset (each), you could have the full 24 hours and could have date and time. This would also show how long you play minecraft
Quite an interesting concept, except that Steve wakes up on an island with no idea of anything except his fists. Maybe a time played counter on the world select screen.
