I found a Thaumium Axe in a dungeon chest while exploring. There was also a Chestnut sapling in the same chest. It appears to be from Forestry, but does nothing when I plant it in ordinary grass/dirt. Nor does it respond to bonemeal. I'm guessing that it can only be grown in a Forestry tree farm, with an Arboretum and Logger.
I used up the axe with the Treecapitator mod, which I had added. It has less durability than Redpower2 gems, but more than iron.
One of the things I usually do in any Minecraft world I play is to build a perimeter wall around what will become one of my bases. Having a Redpower2 volcano fairly close by I decided to make the walls out of Basalt bricks. I started using up a lot of coal to smelt the cobblestone from it, which is why I got Treecapitator to get wood for making charcoal. It has taken several hours real time to gather all the Basalt, smelt it, make it into bricks, then place it down. I really miss having the Mercurial Eye from EE2. Maybe Pahimar is planning to add something like it when EE3 pre2 comes out.
Here are some config file tweaks I reccomend, in the "Direwolf20\minecraft\config\forestry" folder edit "backpacks.conf" and add these item id's to make forestries bags work with the block item/id's of the other mods
# -- adds (in order) xyCraft Xychroimum Crystals, Thalmcraft ores, xyCraft ore blocks, RP2's marble, basalt, and basalt cobblestone, RP2 Ruby ore, Thalmcraft shards
backpacks.miner.items=24256;24257;24258;24259;24260;24261;24262;24263;24264;24265;200:0;200:1;200:2;200:3;200:4;200:5;200:6;200:7;220:0;220:1;220:2;220:3;220:4;220:5;215:0;215:1;215:3;213;25264:0;25264:1;25264:2;25264:3;25264:4;25264:5
# -- adds xyCraft Quartz crystals
backpacks.digger.items=221
backpacks.forester.items=
backpacks.hunter.items=
backpacks.adventurer.items=
# -- adds xyCraft Xychroimum Blocks, xyCraft Quartz crystals; RP2 blocks in the 215 and 216 range
backpacks.builder.items=220:6;220:7;220:8;220:9;220:10;220:11;221;215:2;215:4;215:5;215:6;216:0;216:1;216:2;216:3;216:4;216:5
I also reccomed replacing your InvTweeksTree.txt file with the one Rikki21 from the FTB fourm posted that includes a lot of the FTB mods in the inv tweaks tree (Direct pastebin link). It does not have everything but it has a LOT more than the default list. Even if you do not use sorting rules it will help group similar items together when you auto sort your inventory or a chest.
I finally got a basic IC2 machine line set up, and began processing all the ore I have mined since installing the modpack. There's a huge backlog still to go, and one machine of each type with no upgrades is going to take a long time.
I got around to compressing my first refined uranium ingot, and noticed that I did not get the "Radioactive" achievement. This one would appear to be bugged in the latest version of IC2. Not that it matters to me, since the only other one left to get on that branch involves killing yourself with a Nuke, and I would rather not leave a massive crater in my world from doing so.
Anyone know what the next free block/item IDs are? I am trying to get Ars Magica working with the DW pack(it should be compatible now). I just need to know which IDs i need to use. NEI lists the highest ID at 30k+, so i assign Ars Magica blocks/items after those, right?
Toggle the NEI block settings to dump the ID's to a file. I show Used & Unused in order to group mod id's together. If you are setting up manually, NEI should be your first tool.
Does anyone know if the FTB launcher will ever support a multiplayer version of his singleplayer modpack? As in, the same modpack he uses in season 5, just multiplayer.
is their any way to download the pack all together in one download or do we have to install all of the mods seperately?(which i have already started)
Download the FTB launcher @ www.feed-the-beast.com . If you start your game that way you can choose from a few mod packs. Direwolf20's is one of them. The mods stay up to date and even sometimes have an update that is not yet mentioned in his LP series.

The FTB Modpack allows a 'server' download of most modpacks, including mine! Click the 'filters' button on the top left, and choose 'Server' instead of 'Client'. You'll have the ability to download a server pack.

Hi, sorry if this has been asked beforu but will we be able to download the server (season 3) anytime? Thanx for reply, I want to check out all builds ingame .
The Forgecraft server world is probably not going to be available for download, unlike Dire's single-player world.

2 Diamonds (x: 235 , y: 10 , z: 280)
8 Diamonds (x: 224 , y: 9 , z: 259)
5 Diamonds (x: 236 , y: 9 , z: 255)
Could you put these under a spoiler?

My only guess will be that the rod you are using is wrong (the red one, below the frame). Check that once.
Disable hand tooltips (in one of the options of Optifine, otherwise in the options.cfg)

Refer to his first video in the SSP Series. It tells you how to install the Mods using Feed the Beast mod pack.

Thanks, Dire! I must've missed it
please read a few post back on the previous page. In it I explained how you should get the current modpack DW20 is using.
