Ok there are some issues in this mod pack. Should I post here or somewhere else. I think it is Item ID conflict. I am trying to craft a turltle but I can't, I get an elf. I have no idea why. and if I click on the elf in the crafting table to craft it. Minecraft crashes.
I am curious as to exactly which mods we can expect to be added to this pack in the future. This seems to be missing a fair amount we are used to. Like Advanced Machines, Teleport/Sneaky Pipes, EE(i imagine because it is still being remade) Logistic Pipes etc. Would be nice to have an idea of which mods Direwolf20 intends to add when ready. Or if we should be looking to install these mods ourselves.
EE is already in the pack if you are using V2.

I think the main reason that many are having difficulty finding certain generated items (Tin and Indigo Flowers) Is mainly due to them spawning primarily in vanilla like biomes. The Extra Biomes, though nice, is really effecting this
For anyone having crashing when trying to craft a turtle, disabling EE3 stopped the crashing for me. Looks like his code for handling converting with the minium in the crafting grid is clashing with the turtle recipe somehow.
Just following along. Got to the end of the first part where you see Direwolf20 uncover some lava and then cover it up again. Well I explored where the lava is its not a hugh pool but just on the other side of it was a nice cash of 8 diamonds.
everytime after 30 minutes of playing i get this crash:

Exception ticking world entities. I installed a couple extra mods after creating my world and would get this whenever I tried to create a new world or when a friend tried to join on the Lan. She has the exact same setup I have so it's not to do with differences in client. I then uninstalled mo' creatures and she can join, but I still can't create a new world. I have no idea what it means nor how to fix it as the only other documented cases have to do with bukkit plugins not working together. There also seems to be a chance that it has to do with the higher numbers being used for blocks, but not sure about anything.
Anyone know which episode of the Server play that Direwolf did bee breeding with turtles? I know it was across two episodes, just don't remember which of the 78 that there are (at the time of writing this) that he did it. Anyone know? Thanks!
So when ever I launch the mod pack only vanilla minecraft comes up. I have re downloaded it several times, updated java, uninstalled java and re installed it. Any ideas on how to fix it?
so why go with TE for copper / tin rather than IC2 or forestry?
You can set the frequency of ore spawning in the TE configs. If you have many mods, but disable most of the ore gens, you will soon have a shortage of ores. This allows to have a sufficient number of the ore for all mods, but that being only one type of ore instead of 5 or 6.
is there any way, with the ore processing, that you can use some machines from every mod installed to get the maximum of ore procesisng like 1 iron gives you 6 ingots or so?
Factorization gives approximately 300% increase on the ore.
One of the last forgecraft episodes Direwolf showed someone's (Tahg? not sure) animal farm that used some kind of rail setup to load mature cows into minecarts and move them elsewhere.
Any idea what mod does that? I don't see anything similar in railcraft
Derp. I figured it out... embarking track + growth detector.
You can set the frequency of ore spawning in the TE configs. If you have many mods, but disable most of the ore gens, you will soon have a shortage of ores. This allows to have a sufficient number of the ore for all mods, but that being only one type of ore instead of 5 or 6.
Factorization gives approximately 300% increase on the ore.
300% max, with the ability to stop partway if you seriously don't want to wait half an hour for each ingot.
