Yes, i am having the same problems. Best I can guess is that the periphals mod needs to be updated also. I am no expert though. Hopefully Dire will get it going or come out with a fix soon.
Thing is, he kept the enchant on the axe and said he "logged to fix it". Which was bs.
The anvil ate the repair 2 book, and so I cheated myself a new one, and then tried relogging before applying it. Not sure if it was the relog or the re-apply, but it worked.

I don't know whether the version of TC that you were using then allowed it or not, but now, it is not possible to legitly place Repair on a tool having Unbreaking now. The other way works though. You can get Unbreaking on a tool with Repair. I am sure he was referring to this fact. To me it doesn't matter either way.
Anyone else having issues with memory issues and crashes when you "space click" with an open (and full) forestry bag.
Someone else has reported this, but I don't know if they were using the latest FTB pack.
This started for me as soon as I updated to the latest mod pack.
I'm also getting a lot of messages in the console about worlds leaking memory.
There appear to be issues with this version of the modpack, and with the latest Mindcrack pack on FTB. The FTB tech support forum has a topic indicating where players are reporting the same memory leakage messages, huge amounts of lag, and crashes. In some cases this is happening on recently generated worlds.
One of the posts has speculated that the issue might be with Forge.
Because of this, and also because of the change of the mechanics in Mystcraft, I have decided to hold off on upgrading the pack until these issues are resolved. I can deal with the Mystcraft changes, but not the crashing and lag. I would rather have a stable world with older versions of the mods.
Hello everyone. I've been playing the Direwolf20 pack and enjoying myself immensely. Big thanks to the developers and to Dire for all he does to make the mods accessible to everyone.
I have a technical question to submit: I tried the 5.1.1 update (making a backup of the whole Direwolf20 folder first) and fully expected all the Mystcraft writing desk mechanics to have changed, which they did, and I know I have to get up to speed on that (once again, Direwolf's tutorial, here I come.) However, my problem is that when I checked my existing Mystcraft worlds they were altered and possibly unstable. For instance, in one of my quarry worlds the sky color had changed and the book had multiple symbols for sky color. So I reverted back to 5.0.1 again.
Is there any way to do the update, without the pre-existing Mystcraft worlds getting corrupted?

I think not. in the pack version 5.0.1 It dit not matter in what order the symbols on your book are. With the 5.1.1 pack it does and you can't change the symbols on existing books.

I mostly get crashes if I click on certain things in NEI and there's not a visible recipe for that.
If the issue everyone's seeing is with Forge, I may have gotten around that particular problem by telling MultiMC to give me a much more recent release. I use the FTB launcher to update, but keep my actual game and world in MultiMC, with dated backups and modpack version numbers on the instances. This means I can change certain things when I need to, without having the FTB launcher "correct" my changes when the launcher or modpack gets updated.

Do beds explode in Mystcraft Ages or the Twilight Forest like they do in the Nether or End?
I was thinking about that last night while exploring my 40th Age. I had finished clearing out a Thaumcraft3 mini-dungeon and was kind of far away from the house I built around my Linking Book, and it was night. I ended up activating the Gravity Suit and flying back to it, avoiding any mobs that had spawned.
Incidentally, I am still playing on 0.95.0 0, so symbols are still randomly generated in Ages for me. I have yet to get crystals or dungeons, but have gotten most of the others, including the Void one. I had two Void Ages, neither of which I went back to, and Recycled the Descriptive Books for them.
I did make the process of building a shelter for the Linking Book easier - I made a Builder, some Land Marks and have a spare Redstone Energy Cell charging in my base.
However, my problem is that when I checked my existing Mystcraft worlds they were altered and possibly unstable. For instance, in one of my quarry worlds the sky color had changed and the book had multiple symbols for sky color. So I reverted back to 5.0.1 again.

Mystcraft worlds getting instability is a known issue, and a bugfix is currently in the testers.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
About 10 seconds after I load up my world, I freeze and cant move, I went into the folder and looked in the Forge logs and it said I had a fatal memory leak... I feel like that might not be good
Edit: Also the only dimensions I have loaded are the Twilight Forest and the Nether.

I am also having the same problem. I also downloaded Direwolfs20's map episode 30 to see if that was working and I got the same message. I also tried deleting and re-installing the Direwolf20 mod pack and re-installing the feed the beast launcher with no luck with ether.
I crashed but I'm not sure which mod caused it. could you or someone on here help? here's the link the the Error Report: http://paste.ubuntu.com/5556962/

I just retried it with some mods removed (the ones that seemed to be causing the issue) and I got this crash (which I think was caused by WR-CBE). so if anyone knows what's causing it please reply.
My roommate and I play DW's pack on LAN and are having a crash due to the leaking worlds problem. We have made sure to have the latest update installed (as of February 23) but this does not fix the problem. Is there any way we could back-date the modpack to the previous version? We backed up a save right before the update. If anyone has access to one we'd appreciate it.

I think your problem is with "single player commands" since from my knowlage you have to put it into the minecraft.jar file and not into the core mod folder. So try that and see if that helps but the issue might be with some of your mods not Bering forge friendly and only working with the original mc loader.

so anyone that uses the program might need to manually update that mod to 3.1b.
Mystcraft worlds getting instability is a known issue, and a bugfix is currently in the testers.
Alterations to sky color, etc, should be reported to XCompWiz.

Beds do not explode in those worlds.
Sleeping in the forest will be tricky. I can manage it when it's thundering; I think it works when raining (don't recall exactly).
Ages ... make sure that there's some point where there's no sun in the sky.
The game tests for the sky's sun-light level, to decide if it's night time.

(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Edit: Also the only dimensions I have loaded are the Twilight Forest and the Nether.
I am also having the same problem. I also downloaded Direwolfs20's map episode 30 to see if that was working and I got the same message. I also tried deleting and re-installing the Direwolf20 mod pack and re-installing the feed the beast launcher with no luck with ether.
thanks dw20/whoever helps me

I just retried it with some mods removed (the ones that seemed to be causing the issue) and I got this crash (which I think was caused by WR-CBE). so if anyone knows what's causing it please reply.

I think your problem is with "single player commands" since from my knowlage you have to put it into the minecraft.jar file and not into the core mod folder. So try that and see if that helps but the issue might be with some of your mods not Bering forge friendly and only working with the original mc loader.
