During a 15 hour car ride back home from Georgia to Connecticut, I decided I wanted to make a simple gui engine with java. After making the basics (a custom font engine, custom button support, ect), I really wanted to make it into a game.
~Left click = destroy blocks
~Right click = place blocks
~1-9 = change block selection
~A-D = move left/right
~W = jump
~E = change whether or not you're editing the foreground, or the background
~B = switch between inventory/play mode
~Esc = pause
~Completely custom gui engine
~grid based movement
~multiple block types
~Mobs (just for looks at the moment)
~Take the skin from anyone existing on Minecraft today (options menu)
this is so cool! i wish i could code that well! :happy.gif:
roll with this, this is pretty cool
its like terraria but doesnt suck (if you add mobs and crafting and what not, i dont like the look of terraria but i like this)
It's pretty sweet, but it still misses some things. I can't do anything in the Options menu, besides changing my skin. I can't click the other options. And you should add random ores into the ground. And you should make the window resizable.
Still, for a game made in a few hours, it's awesome, considering the fact that I can't code for **** :tongue.gif:
Keep it up, I want to see the "released" version :tongue.gif:
