Well I've been thinking about starting a Minecraft Youtube series lately, and I've been thinking about what would be original, what would get a lot of views, etc etc. I finally came up with a few good ideas, but now I only have one problem; I need a good, cheap, game/audio recording program that has reliable FPS and has average video quality. I've tried fraps, but the FPS always gets slowed down when I use full-screen mode and the video quality isn't that great either.
So I've been wondering... What do the professional Minecraft "Let's Play-ers" use? You know them; the Yogscast, SeaNanners, CaptainSparklez... Their videos have good quality. So please, I must figure out what program they use!
Just use fraps. There's no professional **** out there that doesn't cost a bajillion dollars.. or that you won't pay. Fraps even costs money, although you can use keygens or whatever the hell kids call them these days.
I wish fraps worked for mac... there's nothing really good to do screencasts with a mac :/ I know, I know, getapc, etc
I just use IShowUHD. It kinda sucks though, the recording comes out darker and more saturated, which when added to YouTube's quality rape is just awful. And it makes my game lag horribly if I record in HD
