Personally I like server reveiws. If you like you can reveiw my server. I cant force you to, but we would love to help start your youtube off, and it will also help my server.
a few tips, don't use ezvid to record, use Fraps at 60 fps (cause 30fps is laggy) then render with virtualDUB (to reduce upload size) , if you're not going to add music turn up the in game sounds/music instead, turning off smooth lighting greatly reduces lag while reduced render distance does not help much, upload daily videos, don't commentate if you have a immature voice unless you're famous then no one cares, play all the custom maps/mod packs that are just starting to be played by one or two of the biggest minecraft channels ie captainsparklez, yogscast, don't play things nearly all the other channels are playing as you'll just get buried by their content
First for foremost, don't do what is trendy. There are too many people doing that. Your videos will get buried. Suggestions I have? Perhaps a mixture of minigames and collabs with other YouTubers who are just starting out.
Second, try to keep your videos short. Try going in 5 minutes. Shortest 5 minutes. 10 minutes would work as well. So will 20. Going too high may turn people off, especially if people don't have a lot of time to spare, when they're just browsing through.
Third, don't use insane and crazy texturepacks. Try keeping to the common ones. Some texturepacks hurt my eyes and drive me away from certain YouTubers.
Also, act mature when you're recording. No childish jokes. Stay away from "SWAG. YOLO." and stuff like that. Why? Some people may like them, sure, there'll be those few who likes it. A lot of people are annoyed by it. This will drive these "annoyed people" away. If you don't include those trash, you won't have to risk all the "Group A may like it, Group B may not." You'll be just risking driving people away.
Next, sure, you can copy some YouTubers. How to know what to film? Start recording after they release Episode 1 of a new series (Eg. Custom Map). Upload faster than them. People may come across yours and decide to look at yours when the popular dude can't release his fast enough.
Lastly, please use proper English when you type the titles and description of the video, including proper listing. S1E1. S1E2. Let's Play Minecraft Episode 1. XX Custom Map Episode 1. Use popular YouTubers' as reference.
