"They say it roams the sea, looking for souls to take. Nobody knows where, nobody knows when... They say those who see it are doomed for eternity, never seen again. Nobody knows what's inside or what evil does it holds. No one knows who crews the cursed ship. Some say it is crewed by the souls of those unfortunate men whom it has taken away... Oh, but don't be fooled by it's colors, some say. A foolish mistake that is, as it is the most evil thing to sail the seas. They say, once you see the fire, it's already too late..."

Story
The night was coming in, the sky was getting cloudy. The Spanish trading galleon San Ambrosio, captained by admiral Pascal de la Rosa, was sailing smoothly to in the open ocean.
It started raining and the fog building up. First mate Tomas was on watch. He was at the Poop deck at the time he caught a glimpse of a shadow in the dense fog, just behind the ship.
Confused about what to do and worried it could be an enemy ship, he quickly rushed to wake up the captain.
Tomas
: Capitan, capitan! I saw somethig in the fog! Right behind us! I think it might be an enemy ship trying to raid out cargo.
Captain Pascal:
Are you sure Tomas? It is pretty foggy and dark outside. Let's take a look.
And so the captain went to stern to look for any sign of an enemy ship closing in.
But rather than bravery, Captain Pascal's face struck in fear.
Captain Pascal:
Can it be... Could the stories possibly be true...
Captain Pascal: God save us and protect us...
What will happen next?

This is NOT an adventure map
Hello there guys and gals! This time I bring you a Halloween inspired build. It's called "Seraphim Nisroc - Scourge of the Seas ". It's a ghost ship that take away those sailors bound to the sea and they are never seen again. No one knows where they go or what is their final resting place.
It has a full interior that you can explore and walk around for yourself. Now then let me say this clear, it is not an adventure map. The reason I say that it's because inside there are books that pretty much follow up to what happen with these poor sailors.
Here's a video that my friend Aamdahl did of an earlier version of the ship:
Music Record Scavenger Hunt
You an try playing the Music Record Scavenger Hunt. There are 11 hidden records on random chests around the ship. Find them all if you can! Here are the rules:
1. Play on moody or relatively dark. Do NOT play on bright.
2. Play on creative mode, however do not fly. If you feel like killing monsters, play on Survival Mode.
3. Play on Easy.
4. Do not place or break anything.
5. Do NOT place redstone torches or any triggering device around. You may blow you. No kidding.
6. You can shoot fire chargers from the mouth of the ship. There is a button on one of the decks!
7. Have fun and don't be a chicken!
Additional Information
This build is meant to be viewed on the Feathersong texture pack, by Steelfeathers. In any other texture pack it could look a bit weird.
The map is still 1.3.2, however it can be converted if you are playing 1.4. Nothing should change.
I will update the map to 1.4 as soon as possible.
Any problems with the ship/map, please let me know and I'll fix it as soon as I can.
Banner picture was made by the amazing Salmon77, please check out his stuff!

Come practice building ships on my server, I have all the tools you could ever possibly need. D:
You have internet right now, so why not practice with us? I'm bored as my fiance is messing with the texture pack, so I have to oversee him and make sure we get all the right stuff.

Well, that's an unique vessel, wonderful idea and awe-inspiring building-job. I'm surprised, that there are only so few answers to this topic.
It's obviously a ship of fantasy, with hundreds of small ideas. To get room for all of them, you had to build the ship as large as it is, I guess. Therefore, it seems to be a bit out of scale. As a "closed setting", this does not hurt, though.
Out of curiosity: In the story, you have pictures of another ship, the galleon "San Ambrosio". Do you have more pictures (or a download) for that vessel, too? I'm more an admirer of the older ship-types and riggings, especially the spritsail/blind, not so much of the full-rigged ships. And this galleon seems to be an amazing example.
Oh yes this is a fantasy ship haha. It's a little bit over sized but hey, that's what the intention!
And at the moment I haven't taken any pictures of the Galleon, but I will upload some more pretty soon! You can't really see much from the dark picture that is up there at the moment Anyway thanks for checking this out!

It is to scale, download and go below decks, you shall see there isn't much overhead space as a ship should be like. Any scale inaccuraces are due to Minecraft and not the creator himself. I know his work, and it is extremely high quality.

I did. And yeah, I did download sillouetes ship bundle as well. While I agree, that his ships are of the highest quality, I've seen so far in Minecraft, and almost always are of the right scale, I still think, the Seraphim Nisroc is a bit too large for a sailing ship. But that should not take away from it's awesomeness. It's indeed the slightly big size, which made creations like the detailed cannons in the cannon decks possible.
@sillouete: You've got my first reputation point over here in these forums - to give an impression, how high I do rate your builds!
I actually agree with you! The ship is too big and would be very unstable in the water. Not to mention that open mouth at the front would take water like crazy, and would cause a change in the center of mass, making it capsize. But yeah, that's all fantasy! Anyway I need to update my ship bundle. It's kinda old, plus some ships look weird. I still owe you those pics of he galleon!
This is correct, it is kind of like the Swedish warship, the Vasa (pronounced Wa-sa). It capsized in the harbor and sank because of high center-of-gravity. In fact, archaeologists found it intact, raised it and it now serves as a museum. It is truly spectacular, I wish I could go see it myself.

I've been to the museum Also we swedes learned from out misstakes, plus Vasa actually sailed a few meters out from the harbor before it well, sank.
and how does that look like vasa? sure we swedes are awesome but we aren't that scary D:
I think she meant the fact that it would capsize in real life, is like the Vasa
And it's alright, the Mary Rose, a 15th century Carrack, biggest ship of her era, belonging to England, also heeled over and capsized because of it's inestability due to increased in weight. England, one of the biggest navies of her era! Not to mention it was the King's flagship XD
It's a wonderful ship you made there! And don't let it stop you for being a fantasy ship, it's really well made (there's way more ludicrous ships in movies tbh)
You got the look & feel down of a cursed ship sailing the waters, looking to raid unsuspecting sailors and take them with it to the damned abyss.
Thanks! I am working on another ghost ship at the moment. This one will be a lot different than anything else seen and a bit surreal!
Thank you for supplying a download link!
I've just downloaded and I have to say I am pretty impressed seeing it
with my own eyes,
Great job once again!
