If you go back several pages there are quite a lot of locations, but I can help you if what you want isn't there.
TIP : while travelling in creative use "/tp ~ ~ ~ " to teleport yourself in a direction. ( to go north ~ ~ ~-1 / east ~1 ~ ~ / south ~ ~ ~1 / west ~-1 ~ ~). tp yourself 100 blocks in the given direction (eg. /tp ~100 ~0 ~0) you can scroll through your last commands by pressing "t" to open chat and then the up arrow key -
I have always used this method for finding my way around this map and I feel it works and is quicker than flying
(I am sorry If I have given bad explanations - I find it hard to convey ideas / techniques ect.)
ok i undeerstand what you mean but it would be really cool if we had a complete list with atleast all areas starting the list here:
Maybe a stupid question. But is there any way to play this without those altitude layers? I remember that there where a mod with a maximum height of ~1000 even before the limit of minecraft was raised to 256. This would just be perfect... Because it's a little bit annoying that you see air only if you look down from a mountain.
Keep up the great work, please!

The chunk data would need to be converted into a single layer. It's possible, but it would be a bit of work. The real problem is that those mods which increase the height limit beyond 256 tended to be out-of-date or have performance problems. The current solution will work without any client-side mods at all.
Hi again. I updated and reposted the install video to make a few things easier to see. Here's the new link:
I originally uploaded in 1080 but only saw up to 720 from YouTube. This version is also 1080. I checked out random forums and it looks like it sometimes takes a while to process and see it. Loving 1.0!!
Can this be used as a server map or its just to look around?
The map can be used like a SMP map. It has ores and caves underground. The only catch is that water won't flow naturally and you might stumble across large deposits of free materials (buildings).
I'm currently working on this project trying to make it into playable wow, complete with leveling, pvp, questing, arena, professions, mounts, custom character/race/boss models and more.
To get involved come onto the server, which can be found at wowcraft.org
we're really looking for more dedicated individuals who can build, and admin spots will be available to hard workers.
Cheers

(P.S. Thankyou for the map Rumsy!)
Not my intention I simply want to make playable wow in minecraft, if Rumsy asks me not to then I'll respect his wishes.
Perhaps I need to credit him more then? I am sorry if this is the case and I will credit him where I can.
Question for Rumsey: You have made this map when a lot of minecraft blocks weren't yet implemented, importent blocks such as hardened clay blocks. Alot of canyons and such are made by nether rack block and that looks really ugly.
Are you planning on redoing it? I understand its of course a lot of work to do something like that, but ye that was my question.
For Rumsey,I have the server fully set up with thanks to "Svmgaming" on youtube. My problem is that I dont know where to put in the .mca files for the server chunks. Any ideas of where it should be?Thanks for the replies! -Holyfraq
Is it possible for me to take Ulduar and export it as a schematic? I wanted to use it for a server event of mine, MCEdit isn't an option, due to the height, and In-Game my computer can't handle the large world paired up with a private server I created to run the map.
Could anyone help me out? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I would give some credit and get some proof of permission.
It's usually needed when posting someone else's work on PMC.
Anyways no worries just credit him and get some proof of permission
I would give credit to the map if it becomes a multi-player map. If it is just you playing or if you have a whiltelist I would state the creator but there isn't a reason to give full credit.
For Rumsey: I want you to read my other post on this page. Im going to make a large server like my last two and I'll be sure to give you credit for sure and Mod if you get on to help out. Thanks for the Reply when you get to it.
if anyone wants to join in the future, make a post and I'll get back to you ASAP
Probably not.

Wow, excellent video! Thank you for putting it together.
