EDIT: qouted from the wiki (There is a possibility that a creeper's countdown timer will not decrement, thus creating a "peaceful" creeper. However, in most cases, attacking the creeper will cause its countdown timer to revert and blow up the creeper and possibly damage you.)

This makes me want to find a peaceful creeper, but I have a feeling the chances are VERY low. I would suggest putting that wiki quote in your main post by the way...
You know, I'm thinking that having rare freak friendly hostile mobs ought to be something coded into vanilla Minecraft. Maybe the occasional rabid sheep, pig, or cow too :biggrin.gif:
Everyone calling "fake" needs to do some youtube searches along with checking that wiki link.
Odd how everyone assumes he is hacking... I remember I found this once and built a house around the creeper. He despawned and I cried for hours. Why did you have to despawn Greeny McSteve! Why!!!!!!!!!!!

No bug, the creeper simply went after someone else first and he got away. After a creeper targets someone they stay tracked on them. They don't go for other players, if one of the players on that server hit the creeper, the creeper would have blown them to pieces.

Incorrect as I have experienced having one in single player before.
It's nothing really interesting as if you leave it, it will despawn.

Perhaps, but I've seen this happen without plugins as well.

Yep I had one on SSP once too.
(I was pretty entertained by it though, at least for a few minutes.)
