Well, I have been building houses for awhile so I decided to go a bit bigger with this one. The design of the house is medieval but when you get inside that quickly changes. XD Comments are appreciated.
The front. ( The roof took a few tries to build =P )
Dining Room ( Piston tables FTW )
Kitchen ( Any Suggestions for the rest of the space to the right? )
Mancave ( Not exactly medieval huh? )
Master Bedroom ( The white and brown blocks are from the Millenaire Village Mod. )
Master Bathroom ( Fully Working bath, sink, and shower.
Grand Library ( Takes up entire third floor O.0 )
Side ( Making pillars and stairs add depth and really make your windows pop out. )
Back ( Again with pillars and stairs to make the windows pop more. )
Roof ( Not really too complicated if you have some experience with roofs. )
Sitting Room ( There are two identical sitting rooms. Both in the outcropping and the front of the house. )
So any comments or suggestions? Also, Im planning on making a desert village based on hindu architexture so would anyone be interested in seeing something like that?
Im actually building many large homes like this on a tyken test world. I have one other house on here... want to see that one too? I probably wont be putting it out for download unless more people want it. =D
Do you have any screenshots of the outside from different angles? (or is there little detail from other angles?) I've been looking for ideas for house designs, and I think your's looks pretty cool :smile.gif:
Any reason why you don't have lighting enabled in those screenshots? Makes the thing look a lot more dull and flat than it really is.
Cool build, though I myself would knock out the dark logs in favor of regular logs, I never really thought the dark logs worked with planks well. Also not a big fan of sandstone, but it's pretty good regardless of both.

Sandstone and logs work well in making medieval style buildings, when I started this house i had regualar wood but it wasnt working for me. =P The regular wood had colors that were too close to the note blocks i used for the ceiling lining.

Ive had medieval constructions on my mind lately too.
This must of taken ages to make tho!
Actually, it only took about 2 hours of straight playing since I had the idea in my head before I started building. :wink.gif:
I will put up a couple screenshots of the sides and back. Also, any feedback on the hindi village idea? I already have a nice desert picked out. =D
