Some screenshots of my underground fortress. I FINALLY finished digging it out, but still have to work on cleaning up the floor. It's taken ~4 months to get here, 100% legit.
The first picture is a shot of the first floor of my storage area, the small tree farms in the background are going to be demolished and re-done somewhere else.
it's nice but can u post a few pics with the normal texture pack (or painterly would be nice)
I use that texture pack because it's easier to see what blocks are when I'm mining. I'll post a few more shots soon. I haven't updated all my texture packs for 1.7 yet- have to go find/download.
Neither this project or the one that inspired it even made mention of the fact they were obviously inspired by Moria in Lord of the Rings. They look almost exactly the same.
Not being mean, just saying give credit where credit is due. It's still an impressive and cool feat to build something like this.
@ Evil Hamster:) DAMN....that is awesome and amazing FRICKING brilliant...just WOW...
That being said:) and oh's and ah's all around...still not keen on the eyes...
I like the texture pack it works well with the layout.
I am so slacking off...I have to take a class and pass the test for work.

Huge empty cavern full of columns? Yes, in that respect it resembles a piece of Khazad-Dun. It wasn't what I was intending to build though.
For the people who don't like the simple texture pack, here it is in my other favorite (Misa's):
I just don't like that pack when I'm underground for long periods of time!
Adventure update = new biome code + tons of new features = new world :sad.gif:
Nice building though.
You aren't being forced to create a new world (per Notch) ....You might just have wierd seams where your old chunks and new junks that aren't generated yet will meet. I don't plan on creating a new world with the 1.8 update....
This project was inspired by and based on:

I heard about that. I intend to start a new world, and will be MCediting this one building into it. I will abandon the rest of my world, but not this.
Visibility pack

Yes, only spent the last 4 months on it :smile.gif:
Thanks!

Each section is 16x16 and the whole structure is 11x11 sections.
