- You cannot be harmed by the lava, but you can extract it very easily. (Unless you dump the bucket on yourself)
- In case of an emergency leak, the entire facility (all 4 floors) can instantly be shut down. This is controlled with pistons that hold blocks between the water above the lava. Pulling the switch pulls the blocks, releasing the water down onto the lava.

Notice you can target the lava without injury. Can literally jump against the lava without getting hurt.

One of the many piston rooms. Notice the pistons are always engaged, holding the blocks that separate the water from the lava.

Before pulling the switch to shut the lava down.
After pulling the switch, all lava is turned into obsidian.

After switch pulled, from inside.
Pull the switch again and the water retracts, leaving only obsidian behind.
THIS IS BEAST!!!! 4 s and 2 s for you. (yay i posted first lol)
lol thanks man. I just looked over the pictures and I have to say, this thing is SO Much better when you pull that switch yourself... to hear all those lava source blocks fizzle out at the same time, it's pretty damn neat. :tongue.gif:

This is really cool!! But complicated.. wouldnt it just be easier to have the water and lava in buckets? xD
hehe thanks for the compliment and to answer your question: Yes! Of course a bucket of water/lava and any other number of posibilities would be "easier" but what fun would that be for a MC engineer/artist like me? Besides, you gotta admit it's pretty cool hearing all those pistons move, and all that lava **sizzle** out at the same time :tongue.gif:

Soooo.... After shutting it down You spend like.... almost half of the durablity of your diamond pickaxe?
(Or so I think, diamond tools have durability of around 1028 right?)
Good luck resetting it.
Other than resetting it, Its just so awesome, I...I........

Hehe. I backup the map (takes about 10 secs) and then I pull the switch. When I'm done making videos, taking screenies.. I just delete the map folder and unzip the backup. Done. :wink.gif:
