Never thought of window shutters.... May add that on future buildings.
Also, even though I prefer homes based on modern architecture, I really like how you designed these homes.
tonight and tomorrow I'm going to work on improving this guide and work on a better tutorial to build bigger houses and complex roofs, thanks everyone!
Awesome guide, I can't wait for the updated tutorial.
On a similar note, I'm trying to bookmark a bunch of links for good Minecraft home tutorials and there is one in particular that I can't seem to find again, no matter what search terms I use or how much I dig in my browser history. :S
This other home builder featured little huts, rather low in their design (usually one floor), very compact, made of wood, used logs a lot, and featured using wooden staircases inside as both walls and shelves at the same time. He had a couple tutorial videos too. (His video featured a dark texture pack, I think it was DOKU.)
If anybody knows who I'm talking about, I would appreciate a link. Other people in this topic might like his style as well.
If anyone has copies of these creations and could upload them, I would greatly appreciate it. I had them backed up on a flash drive and the flash drive corrupted and I lost it all. time to start from scratch! Will be awhile before this page is updated though. :\
Pretty cool guide, i'm going to keep it open to find some inspiration while i am building my town, and the more complex houses would be a great mayor's house
These are pretty awesome. It's a bit difficult to find examples of homes that actually adhere to modern architecture. So often, there are grand castles and lofty towers because that's the sort of thing Minecraft really lends itself to.
This Is really quality work! I mean i really like that sandstone house and your chimneys they are great! I am gonna atempt to make some of these and see what happens! Great Job!!!
This is a great thread. Anybody who would let it die is horrible. Go troll on a real n00b's post. (Your own)
I will too I <3 them
wow I NEVER thought of that
