I have a 188x156x48 version of the Coliseum, if you'd be interested in adding it. It's only about half done, but it's a 1:1 scale. It's made from pure smooth stone.
This isnt dead. It may seem so, but no.
I am still working on it, but slowly. It's now online on my very own SMP build server, and I do a lot of other projects apart from this, but I do work on it from time to time.
It has changed a little i the past month, added some details allaround and started on the city walls, but I still have a lot more left.
Thank you all for following this project. I know it has been poorly updated lately but I have been working on it.
This project is now on my mulitplayer server, its 48 slots and has my singleplayer world as the main world. But dont get me wrong, I am still the only architect of this city and that is the way it will remain.
If you want to get on the server you are welcome to, just give me a PM with some relevant information.
Now, lets get to the actual update!:
As you can see, I changed the texturepack from Dokucraft_HIGH, to Dokucraft_LIGHT. It looks a lot more realistic
and it fits the many different themes of the server more.
I'm not gonna reveal too much, but I have started to add some detail to the city as a whole. Bushes, lightposts, slavecages, stands etc. I also added a nice little building too it:>
So.. I changed the aqueducts, they now look more realistic I think.
Here is a sneakpeek of what to come. Fountains, lush bushes and trees.
The Caracallan Baths are a must! I actually had tried building them a while ago myself.
Thank you! I needed something interesting to do and you finally gave me some inspiration. I wanted to do this
full scale, but unfortunately I couldn't do it, because it would looks ridiculously big. It's now in a scale that fits the rest of my city and I think it turned out quite nice. It's not 100% done, its in an elevated position, so I need to do some terraforming and start to work on a cityplan to fit houses and other buildings around it.
The outside looks different from the real thing, but I think it looks cooler with the stairs like that. Hopefully it will look even better when its all done :smile.gif:
