Here's the enterance to my fortress.
The glass on the right is just a temporary guard for my chests out there. I'm slowly moving my materials down to my storage room!
Here's a shot of the steps. I'm incredibly happy with them!
And here's the main chamber.
It's quite incomplete but I've got all the area mined out. The left wall is completely empty but will soon be home to a Church, Forge and Pub. Also gotta do something with the floor.
Here's what the outside of the right hand side looks like.
Both sides are sleep areas and the middle is a farm.
Here's the lounge (first story of each side).
Looks the same on both sides.
And here's the bed area. Looks the same on the second and third stories.
This is the enterance to the Arena. It's at the back of the main chamber.
Here's some shots of said Arena. It's still under construction but it's about 80% done.
Here's some various other shots.
And my storage area. It's at the bottom of the fortress in the middle.
The wooden door leads to a room with more chests full of cobblestone.
Here's the way on and off the property,a ladder to the water below.
This is the primary hall, which provides access to the entire estate.
My farm, which holds wheat and reeds.
My tree farm, which is five floors high, and the second image shows how high each floor is.
The Reading Room. A place with a beautiful view so you can read books.
My grand library! It possesses a grand volume of books, ranging from topics such as "Affixed to the shelf" to "You can't read this, boyo!"
This is the antechamber to the upper floor. I enjoy the design.
This is the viewing gallery, which provides a beautiful view of the surrounding environs.
This is the Conference Hall. It's large, airy, and quite well done,in my opinion.
This here is the Speaker's Perch. It is where the current Speaker of the Conference stands to deliver their words.
Aah,my bedroom. Quaint,isn't it?
Finally, the bathroom. Literally. I give you what I believe to be Minecraft's first indoor bathtub.
This is my manor, and I will post pictures of the deep sea mine sometime soon. I hacked in the lightstone for the sake of time saving. Everything else is legit.
Also,a quirky fact. Any part of Summermyst Manor that's not in direct contact with the ground is supported by stilts. If the stilts would reach water, they're made of (cobble)stone for one meter above the surface down.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
I was going to finally post images of my old manor house but then I saw Copeland's pix and.. oh okay then...
From the south, somewhat inspired by the Scots Baronial style.
It's the shape and size it is because when I was looking to build a base I found that sheer cliff and a line of rock running across the top of the ridge. Those formed by guides and inspiration for the build. I built out of raw stone (gained legit) because of that.
A close view from the south.
You can see the Archer's Nest on the left, with the garden above it. To the right is the bridge to what was supposed to be my mine, but turned out to be far poorer that anticipated. The bridge was a WiP when this image was taken. Not long after I put an arch under it to support it.
Okay circling around we pass the archer's nest and the entrance. I was planning to fortify this with a Haha but after the chunk errors messed my world I was too hear broken to keep playing it.
Here we are approaching from the north. Yes I put up a lot of cacti to make this a killing ground for mobs.
This is the entrance. You can see the thick walls to prevent serious Creeper damage. That's the Archer's nest to the right. yeah it looks a bit grey; in Brown and Bloom it looked like I'd made it out of concrete. If you spot that block of gravel, it marks the original murder hole which I continued to use even after making the Archer's Nest to deal with unwelcome night time callers.
My living room. The chest is for my adventuring gear and stuff recovered from dungeons. The door leads to the Archer's Nest which I royally cocked up once I put cacti down in front of it.
My workshop. With forge/incinerator and that block of iron is supposed to be an anvil.
My warehouse; on the same floor (basement) as workshop, and never completed.
Finally the western side, from the bridge.
I'm afraid I don't seem to have any images of the Glass Battlement, the Solar or the other chambers. I hope you enjoy what I've shown you and find it just slightly aesthetically pleasing.
