Dom walked through the entrance to the Mianite' stone temple. Dom always laughed at the fact they referred to this place as a temple. It was as tall as one. 45 block high of stone that streched a long radius. It also merged with the mountain nearby. Their Nether portal was down there. And their library. It hadno roof though. Open air always flowed through the Mianite temple. Either way, Dom still marveled at the structure. It was very impressive. As he walked through the tall archway that served as the temple'sentrance, he saw ahoard of Mianite warriors. They were walking through the temple. Doing their own business. The chief saw him as he entered.
"Dom! How be you?"
"Good. I guess."
The chief, Steve, walked over to him and put his hand over his shoulder. He always did this when he talked to others one on one.
"So. I heard about what happened to you last night."
"Did you know?"
"Yes. Those Dianite trash spread word of your 'little friend' and it caused quite a murmur."
"Yay..."
"Don't be so sarcastic Dom."
"I don't like the attention."
"Oh Dom you have no idea how much attention you're getting. You better get used to it. Dianite's chief wants to recruit you."
"Oh."
"Yeah. Same with me. I want to recruit you as well."
"Faaaaaaantastic."
"Dom I'm not liking the fact you're being a smart-ass. Anyway, Mianite even asked me himself to recruit you."
Dom raised an eyebrow at this. One of the gods wanted him on their side. Call him selfesh, but he had started thinking of the perkshe could get. Maybe he could reserve himself a home in Mianite's homeworld, the Aether. No mobs spawned there. As far as he knew no one even lived there. Only Mianite. That wouldn't be so bad.
"Now Mianite knows his beings well and knows that you probably would want rewards of some kind. Personally, I think joining our side would give you those kinds of rewards. It's not often Mianite comes down from the Aether to consult me."
"He came down from the Aether?"
"Yep. To tell me that I needed to get you on Team Mianite ASAP."
"Wow. I didn't notice I was so popular. Allbecause and Enderman saved my life."
"That's the thing Dom. No one's ever had that. No one's ever been helped by an Enderman. That's a big deal."
"So why does Mianite care about that?"
"Don't know. He said that he would be coming down again in a few days, hopefully to havea private conversation with you."
"Yippeeeeee...Just what I wanted."
"Dom. You truly are a weird man you know that."
Dom scoffed at this and turned to the entrance of the temple. He knew how these Gods worked. He knew he could probably play Mianite to get the peace he wanted. He thought about for a short while. After that short while he turned backto Steve.
"Alright. I'll help out you guys."
Steve smiled
"Great. Follow me."
Part 4: How the Gods Work
Steve and Dom were staring at a iron door. There was only stone behind it. And 4 buttons to the left of the door on the wall.
"Hold on a sec Dom."
Steve waled over to the 4 buttons and began quickly pressing them in a patter. He went to fsast for Dom to actually pick up what the pattern was. After he finished pushing the buttons, the sound of movement and pistons began. Rapidly. After a few short seconds the iron door swung open and the stone was removed, revealing a vault full of chests and crafting tables.
"Ah here we are. Through we go Dom."
Domand Steve stepped into the fault. The amount of chests in this room was almost ridiculous. Each chest had a name tag on it. This was how warriors claimed there chests. Many had stacks of chests. Some only had a small one. Steve walked Dom over to his chest. Steve had also put a lock on his chest that he had to undo before he opened it. It opened and Domwas taken aback. A multitude of enchanted weapons and sets. He reached in and grabbed an unenchanted iron set, with tools.
"Here you go Dom. These are a few good things to start with."
"I already have a full iron set."
"Well. Your sword was stolen. Your set is probablyold and worn. It's time for a replacement I think."
Dom quickly placed all the items in his inventory.
"Now. I know you probably already know how the Gods work. But a little refresher wouldn't hurt would it."
"Uggh. Do I have to listen to this?"
"Yes. Now. The people you see scattered around this temple. They are all doing their own thing at the moment. Just living day by day like normally. However. The Gods offer tasks. They can be small, intermediate, or rather difficult. Of course these come with rewards. Some examples of tasks would be: gathering pigs, aquirring certain items, killing a certain amount of a certain mob. Stuff like that. You can also do things that would be seen as gifts to the Gods to recieve special rewards. Most people do this. Anexample would be....Mianite likes sheep. So you could create a sheep statue or something like that as a gift. He would probably reward you with some ores or something."
"Sounds easy enough."
"Woah Dom. You won't be doing that. When Mianite appeared before me he requested that you do tasks alongside me and the other warriors. You're gonna be like a foot soldier."
"Uggh."
"Don't be lazy Dom. It's quite a thrill."
"Sure. Whatever you say."
During this conversation they had walked all the way back to the entrance of the temple. Steve finnished up by saying his goodbyes.
"Well Dom. Come back here tomorrow. We'll probably have a task that we can complete for Mianite. I'll see you then."
After this Steve returned to inside the temple. Dom let out a sigh and began treking back to his house.
