Here is an old attempt I made at doing my old Minecraft Creepypasta over again. I did not finish this, and I am not planning to, as it is old.
Chapter 1
The Beginning
Before I tell you this story, I will say a little bit about how I play Minecraft. When I start a new world, I usually set it to normal mode. The only times I set it to peaceful is when I am exploring caves, building at night, or I don’t want to be disturbed. But enough about that. Now I will start the story.
It all started a few years ago. I was exploring around, far from my house. I was about 500 blocks away. When I got back to my house, which took a while, my wolf… was gone. I had no idea where it went. The only evidence was a hole in the wall, just big enough to let a player in.
Chapter 2
The Peaceful Creeper
The next day, I went out to explore a cool cave I had found yesterday. I had just got to the cave, and I tried to set the difficulty to peaceful. I clicked on the button, but it wouldn’t change. I clicked on it some more, and it changed to hard. I couldn’t change it again, so I started to go back to my house.
Halfway back, I was going round a bend, and a creeper was right there! It scared the heck out of me, but it didn’t hurt me. It just stood there, staring.
I made a glass case around the creeper. I had decided to keep it as a pet.
Chapter 3
Creepy’s Death
When I woke up in Minecraft, I decided to go check on my pet creeper, which I had named “Creepy.” When I made it to his glass case, I got a terrible shock.
Creepy had blood all over it. It was dead. It hadn’t disappeared into smoke, but its eyes were closed and it was badly wounded. I broke the glass surrounding it. It fell out and vanished into smoke. Then I was forced to go to the menu. The difficulty said, “Ultra Hardcore.”
I was really freaked out, so I quit the game and went to do something else.
Later in the afternoon, I went back on. The Minecraft logo had blood on all the letters, and the creeper face had red eyes. The logo was also covered in moss and mud. So were the buttons.
Chapter 4
Bloody Mobs
I clicked on my world. In the loading screen, instead of the regular text, it said, “Making the world evil.” When it was 100% done, the text turned red, and then the game started. When it started, I got an even worse shock than last time.
All the mobs were bloody, even the passive mobs. There were even monsters out during the day. I checked the difficulty, and sure enough, it had changed. It now said “Killer.”
I braced myself, knowing that the monsters were about to kill me, but they didn’t attack. They didn’t even seem to notice me. I hit one, and it died instantly. Blood appeared on the block beneath it.
Suddenly, the screen froze. It went to the menu and the difficulty changed to “Doom.” I was really scared by then so I quit.
Chapter 5
Playing on “Doom”
I didn’t have the courage to come back and play Minecraft for days. I was even scared to play other games, because they might get hacked in the same way.
Eventually I gathered enough courage to play the game. The logo was a little different now: the “A” in “Minecraft” was gone. Behind it was a dark hole, and Herobrine’s eyes were staring out of it.
I was a little scared by the eyes, but I played anyway. When I got to my world, it was sunrise. That was weird, because I quit Minecraft at noon. Time didn’t change unless—
UNLESS SOMEONE HAD BEEN PLAYING ON MY WORLD.
It was very creepy, but I kept playing anyway. I must know what was in doom mode!
I noticed some more differences in “Doom” than in the other hacked difficulties. Creepers started exploding by themselves, and the blocks in the explosion hole had blood on them.
Now, when monsters died, they created acid instead of blood. Stepping on acidic blocks made you lost hearts very fast. You had only about five seconds before you died. Also, if you stepped on an acidic block while wearing boots, the boots became radioactive and poisoned you if you wore them.
Lastly, I discovered a ghost-like mob. It was invisible, but it warned you of its presence by screaming like a banshee. The first time I heard it, I almost had a heart attack, and after that, I played with the volume way down.
Chapter 6
The Wraith
Soon, I decided to look in the Minecraft files for any strange coding or textures. I soon found some coding about a “Wraith.” It said that it had 40 hearts and it was invisible. It must have been the ghost mob.
Soon after finding the code, I saw a wraith. I tried to kill it, and the code was right: it took a long time. The wraith was wearing a long robe and a hood. I couldn’t see any of its face except two glowing green eyes.
Chapter 7
The Black Forest
One day when I was exploring,
I found a cave. It was rimmed in diamond blocks. I tried to mine the diamond blocks, but I started to get hurt. Eventually I gave up and went in the cave.
The cave was very long, and it had no mineral veins in it, which was weird. Soon I came to a wall of bedrock. There was a sign on it that said, “You can not go in here yet.” I tried to mine the stone around the bedrock, but it was unbreakable. I went back out of the cave, but I found something very weird outside.
There was a huge forest of trees. The leaves were black, and the wood was dark brown. It was very hard to get out of, because it was very dense and dark, but eventually I escaped.
Chapter 8
The Track
A few days later, I was walking back to my house after some exploring. There was a sign above my door. It said, “Go to the cave.” I took its advice and walked over to the cave. The black forest was gone.
When I got to the end of the cave, the bedrock wall was gone. There was a room behind it. There was a chest in it, and a minecart track. I opened the chest and it was filled with minecarts. I started to ride the track.
The track was very long, and there were lots of tricks in it, for example, at one part there was lava covering the track, but it disappeared when I got close to it. There was also a part with creepers covering the track, but they all moved out of the way when I got close to them.
At the end of the track, I was in a totally different place. I didn’t recognize anything. I tried to go back on the minecart track, but it started filling up with stone! Soon, there was nothing left.
Chapter 9
Herobrine!
I was in a new world. I tried to get back to my house, but it was so hugely far away I could not get back to it.
I decided to stay in this new world. I built a house, mined, crafted, and soon my new world was almost as good as my old one.
One day, when I was exploring, I saw Herobrine walking through a valley. I was on top of a mountain, so he didn’t see me. Two creepers were guarding him, but they weren’t normal creepers. They were entirely dark grey, except for their eyes, which were red.
I was so interested in Herobrine that I forgot I was on a mountain. I accidentally fell off, but fortunately I fell in a pool of water. Unfortunately that made Herobrine notice me.
He didn’t attack me, but one of the “dark creepers,” as I later called them, did. It suddenly transformed into some sort of mutant creeper. Its legs got longer, and it grew arms. It got bigger as well.
The dark creeper started to attack me. I tried to fight back, but it was too strong, and I only had an iron sword. I managed to escape, but then Herobrine shot me with a bow!
Later, I went back to get my stuff. Herobrine and his dark creepers were gone, but for some reason he left my stuff.
Chapter 10
The Island
One day, when I logged on to Minecraft, I was not in my house. I was on the beach of an island. I looked around, but I couldn’t see land anywhere. There was a village behind me, so I decided to head to it.
In the village, there were other players! Well, actually, they weren’t players. They were NPCs. They had the body of a player, but no one was controlling them. I didn’t see any bloody mobs anywhere. I checked my difficulty, and it was on peaceful! I tried to change it to other difficulties, and it worked! On normal, monsters spawned, but they didn’t attack! Finally the hacker had stopped!
Chapter 11
It Gets Worse
I was wrong that the hacker had stopped. It had only gotten worse. It seemed like a paradise, away from the bloody mobs and weird difficulty levels, but it was creepy. Nothing was wrong, but it just seemed weird.
One day, when I woke up (I was sleeping in a house that was strangely built for me), all the villagers were gone.
