Chance and The Original Journey are now added to Minefic.
Let us rain balloons and joy to celebrate! Better yet, let us rain balloons filled with radiant joy that explodes kittens!

I also posted an application to my story. Did you just overlook it, or is it not accepted for some reason? Its alright if you just didn't get to mine or something, I'm just not sure since you didn't say anything. No rush, really.
Description: Willhelm Adaron is a young boy living in the small village of Adarell, in the mythical land of the Seven Kingdoms. His entire life is changed after his accidental discovery of the Eye of Herobrine, an artifact of near limitless power. Now he must join forces with an ancient team of heroes against dark powers in a race to destroy the Eye and save the world from never ending night at the hands of the mad and powerful last of the eleven Ender Dragons.
I'm still wondering, Farteh16, if the story added to minefic can be linked to a different site. Just so I can get double the feedback and span a more broad, diverse audience. I will be porting Cobalt, altough with some more human characteristics, to my new fanfiction.

I missed a post.
I nearly missed the chance to help someone who could use aid in a forum with a dozen other stories scrambling, struggling and pushing their way to the top by climbing over more people who are trying to get on top. A mountain of stories, all climbing upwards, none lasting long at the peak...
CURSE MY NAME LET ME FALL TO A RAVINE FILLED WITH LAVA, UNENDING AGONY AND FLUFFY PONY BEAST THINGS THAT WILL STEAL MY MANHOOD!!!!
I say, end this foul wretched being that is posting these words!
So.. *smacks lips together*, Imma read your fic nao.

Would it be okay if you were to make another post here? For the Literature Forum audience, and to ease our work.
I guess so, but will I have copy_pase my work into spoiles as I did with Azazle, or can I just post the forum thread with a link? Sorry for all the trouble.

WHy use spoilers? You could just copy-paste it and bold the chapte names and titles and such. That's my personal preference, though.
So, making a sequel to The Eye Project (already got the third book planned, too). Here's the application:
Title: Into the Heavens
Author: sc1020
Description: Twenty years after The Eye Project takes place, the son of one of the seven heroes is sent on a quest with his dad's friends to stop a dark lord from destroying the world by blowing up the core. This mere boy, Cameron, has a gift he doesn't know of yet. He must use it to save us all. Meanwhile, a mysterious man and the rest of Cameron's dad's friends investigate a team-up between an old foe and one who controls an army of Minecraft's most feared monster.

Title: The Slaves of the Desert Mine
Author: SuperFire131
Description: Fire, a player on a server using a revolutionary technology is trapped in the Rockbane Quarry, the server has been taken over by hackers who want to sell the technology to the army. Fire and four other prisioners now needs to escape the quarry and collect artifacts to reclaim the server and thus preventing abuse of the tecnology, using "The Ban Hammer".

Other notes: The description might not sound very inviting but that is just because I am terrible at making things short. 11 chapters with about 1500 words each are out already (which uses up my first post) and only about 10-15% of that what I have planned is out yet. Everything else is explained in the notes that I have written for the story. I have some paragraphs to make but I haven't found time for that yet.
Side note to anyone who might care to know: I have thought of a revision of the Mainframe, my fic. It will be new, improved and will have an entirely new plotline, but EVERYTHING about the alt. universe and its characters are canon and some are still in the story. It might take a while form e, but after I'm done, I'm sure it will be good enough to read
Woo, I get to come back here again and say hi! Chapter 15 is up on Cubic Fire, after a little bit of drought from writing chapters. Interestingly, I had written the thing while listening to From the Ground Up, a music video by Slamacow. Hence the title of the chapter.
Here's an interesting thought. Could this be viewed as an almost 'help' topic for writers? Say, if someone wanted to ask a question about writing that was not necessarily on the help pages, or that they want an opinion on?
I suppose so. I know I most certainly wouldn't have a problem helping a fledgling author out! Assuming I am beyond the "fledgling" point myself. Hah.
10 Pages and a New Year... I never thought this would get this far. Many of my projects and plans often never leave my mind, much less get posted or become successful. I am glad that this, and the few other stuff, are the one that are successful. This can help more than just me.

Well, if you're asking a question about asking a question on a forum, and you're asking the question on that forum, doesn't it automatically make it so? You know, just a thought.

What is the "fledgling point"? Do authors ever pass it? And if so, when? And how do they do it?
What is the "fledgling point"?
I see the "fledgling point" as the point beyond where an author can find a space of infinite possibilities of things to write. Any combination of any writable idea, substance, thought, or ideal can be written well by an author beyond the "fledgling point".
Do authors ever pass the "fledgling point"?
I think so. However, an author cannot determine when they are past the "fledgling point" for themselves. They must seek out other authors to see if they are past it, and in doing so, the authors will inevitably build each other up. If enough authors gather together, they will pass the "fledgling point" together, and the authors of that group will have viable reason to determine that they are beyond it.
When do authors pass the "fledgling point"?
I believe that an author has passed the "fledgling point" when they are able to look at something they write and say, "Well, this needs to be fixed, and that needs to be better..."
How does an author pass the "fledgling point"?
To pass the "fledgling point", I think that an author must first be able to look back on previous writings of their own and think, "Well that sucked..." If an author can recognize that some of their previous work was not very good, then they are on the path to "Writer's Enlightenment", and well past the "fledgling point."

I made this up on the spot. If you are going to quote me, please make sure that I am credited, thank you.

I didn't realize that you were writing a story. Have you been keeping up with mine? I've already gotten to a sequel.
