Ulric woke to a bright light and a loud noise. Lighting struck the mountain about twenty miles away from his house. He sat up and gasped with astonishment. He knew this wasn't good. They hadn't had a good lightning storm in over a million years. Sundenly Ulric was grabbed out of his thought when his door was slammed open by his father.
"Come down to the cellar quickly", his dad said with a grim frow on his face.
Ulric ran after his dad as he slammed the front door open. It was pouring with rain and lightning was going off every three seconds. They ran around the side of the house and opened up the cellar door.
"Get in quick", his father exclaimed.
Ulric walked down the steps to the cellar as his dad shut the door behind him. The sounds of the lightning and rain were muffled from being underground. Ulric sat down next to his mother. She kissed him lightly on the top of his head and hugged him tightly. His father sat on a hay bale across from them and sighed. His father could see that she was scared and nervous.
"Don't worry, we will be fine, just another scare," Ulrics father said.
She looked up at him and said, "This is not a scare Jack! The mountain was getting hit by lightning! I even saw shadows!"
Jack nodded his head with agreement. He knew she was right. This was definelty not another scare.
"I know Marie, you're right." he said sadly.
Ulric looked up at his dad and said "What are you talking about! What is going on? This is just another storm...right?"
His father shook his head and said, "No, this is not another storm son, the Enderman are here."
"What is an Enderman dad? Are they hostile?" he said.
"Ordinarily no. They only get in the way most of the time. Stealing crops, breaking houses down, and many other things that ruin all of your
hard work. But, even though are normally not hostile, when a pack of Enderman come into your area, stay, underground. For if you look directly into the eyes of an Enderman, well, no one really knows what happens. Anybody that looks into the eyes, just disappears, out of exsistence. "
