I have a new hobby, and because I find it so much fun (for now) I've decided I'd ask around here to see who'd be interested in this. I don't know if it's already been done, but, ah well; I'll still keep this to show off my own work.
Using a combination of Cinema 4D and GIMP I have been using my creative talents to...as the title suggests...take photos of people and put Steve Heads on them! :biggrin.gif:
So, yes...I'll be taking requests...but first, here's my "portfolio". Keep in mind, though, I'm still working on my color correction and compositing skills, and while I'm getting better, I'm not great.
If anyone out there is accustomed to C4D, and can properly use mesh objects for compositing, i.e. create tubes for necks, spheres for shoulders, and planes into clothes so the light falls properly on the objects to simulate the light on the person, some tips/pointers/collab work would be greatly appreciated. Same goes for anyone accustomed to color correcting on any program. If you'd like to help/collab, inbox me or something.
In any case, if you want to request a picture done, please keep the following in mind:
1.Please use a camera of decent quality
The lower the quality, the more difficult the picture will be. Film grain is not easy to implement.
2.Do not obstruct your face in the picture
While it can be done as in the example above, with something small, large obstructions make the process difficult, and sometimes impossible.
3.No obscene gestures
Sorry, but I won't do it. While it would be cool to flip off the camera with a Steve head on, I don't want to staring at your middle finger for hours on end.
4.Good Lighting!
The more distinct your shadows are, the cooler the picture will look! Plus overcast pictures will make determining the light source hard.
5.Use your own pictures
Don't get me involved in a lawsuit...please...
6.Angles!
This one isn't necessary, but apparently I've found that heads which are angled downward instead of upward are both easier and look nicer :biggrin.gif:
Vioaltion of any of the above may result in denial! :ohmy.gif:
Hai. This be me. Can it be Steveheaded? Feel free to ignore the hat. But it would be cool if you could render a Blocky version of the hat for Steve. Thanks.

If there ever was a remote possibility that I would open Minecraft and see rocket ships and lightsabers, I'd much sooner take up alcoholism.

Search. It was everyone else's idea first, and it sucked every time.

I'll try to do the hat, but no promises xD I'm starting it now.
Apologies, Sir...but I couldn't get the lighting right despite my efforts. Btw, if you don't like the way the hat looks just say so, it's easy to undo.
and I'm working on yours now, Xdude96, but its almost time for me to get some sleep so you might have to be in suspense til tomorrow morning...
There ya go, xdude96, hope ya like, even though the hoodie makes the neck look weird. I also tried going around the hood like this, but I don't think it looks as good:

Well, upload the image you'd like to a photosharing site and post the link here! That's just one of many ways...

I got the pic, and I'll get on it when I'm done with Zeer's, k? :biggrin.gif:

Yay! Love it!
