Hawksearcher, the Mage of Issilia and follower of Pullaeta!
Characters full name: Amaedus Salvius Adrammelech (nick-named 'Aedus')
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Characters morals: Although not necessarily evil, Amaedus is a mage of logic and intellect, thoroughly thinking things through before making any decision. Because of this, he is a strictly neutral character, not going out of his way to help others if it's at his expense, but not committing crime out of fear of punishment.
Characters Backstory:
Amaedus was born in the glorious city of Issilia, ruled and protected by powerful orders of mages (magi) and knights. There was immense magical potential in him, so he was immediately put through a rigorous education of spellcasting. After specializing as a mage (mages are known for elemental magic and enchanting, wizards are known for potion-making and arcanic magic, and druids are known for their ability to transform and casting nature magic), he launched himself headfirst into his studies.
His curiosity began to grow about other magic, however. The more and more he learned about what he was able to do as a mage, the more curious he became about magic that stretched the limits of human potential. Fashioning himself as a perfectionist, he was one to push himself to the limit in even simple spells and enchanting, and he had a knack for experimenting and making new combinations of spells and magic. It was only a matter of time that the prospects of forbidden magic would catch his attention.
Unable to locate any tomes about the application of dark magic, he began to experiment with utilizing darker forces in magic himself. Since magic clasified as 'dark magic' was strictly prohibited by the Twelve Ancient Magi of Issilia, this was done in secret, but he only preformed such magic with what he considered to be good intentions. He simply wanted to use tools that other spellcasters feared using to better himself, and find the ultimate spell: resurrection.
His parents had died soon after his birth, and as an orphan he had never gotten the chance to see what they looked like. So, he experimented with the darker forces involved with the animation of zombies and skeletons by capturing them and secretly transporting them to a laboratory-like study he made outside of the city. He would observe and determine the aspects of their dark aura for days, attempting to learn about their reanimation.
This constant exposure to their dark aura gave him a residual glow, invisible to the naked eye, but not to the magically-discerning eyes of the Twelve Ancient Magi. They learned of his dark experimentation, and he was exiled from Issilia, never to return again.
Heart-broken, he wandered the wilderness with a new purpose: revenge. He wanted to take revenge against the city he once so dearly loved for casting him out. In his mind, he was laboring for the betterment of the city, creating spells and magic no other spellcasters had tried to use without being banished themselves. So, with his magic virtually stripped from him and with not even a wand to channel what little magic he had left, he began to build.
He began to do the unthinkable: He began to reconstruct the Four Elemental Towers of Issilia, which in the city had contained a vast deal of elemental energies.
Little did the other magi know that while he worked in and around the towers, he was privately taking notes to himself about their structure, about what combinations of runes and wards they were imbued with that gave them the greater output of elemental energy than the input of auric energy it took to activate them. Using only materials he excavated from the earth, and with a great deal of trial and error, he managed to construct his own Glass Tower of Issilia, harnessing the elements of air and water in one tower, and the Greystone Tower of Issilia, harnessing the elements of earth and fire in one tower.
The only thing he lacked was a power source, and in order to do that he would need to find one of the rarest minerals on the planet: diamond. When untouched diamond is found in the earth, and it is infused with pure gold, the natural small magical output of the precious gem is amplified by the conductivity of the diamond, producing what is known as an Emphonic Generator. The Emphonic Generator he constructed was not as large or as powerful as Issilia's, but it gave him enough power to activate the towers, which in turn restored his elemental powers to him.
He waged war on the city, besieging the great walls with summoned elementals and his own powerful magic. He did a great deal of destruction to the outer walls of the city, but the combined efforts of the magi of Issilia proved to simply be more that a match for him, even with all his ambition and anger. Thwarted, the city launched a counter-attack against him, effectively destroying the plagiarized towers and sending him running for his life.
Since then, he has elluded the watchful eyes of the knights and magi of Issilia, careful to hide his true identity from strangers. He seemed to have all but forgotten his resolve to take revenge against the city after his failure, and instead turned to a quieter, more secret life involving magical study and experimentation as a lone, wandering mage. After a year of staying quiet in the wilderness, he finally dared to seek out civilization again, tentatively searching for a home in the small kindom of bettramia...

What does OOC and IC mean: Out-of Character and In-character
What is metagaming and powergaming: Totally didn't copy from Wikipedia. Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself. Powergaming (or power gaming) is a style of interacting with games or game-like systems with the aim of maximising progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of other considerations such as (in video games, boardgames, and roleplaying games) storytelling, atmosphere and camaraderie. Due to its focus on the letter of the rules over the spirit of the rules, it is often seen as unsporting, un-fun, or unsociable. This behaviour is most often found in games with a wide range of game features, lengthy campaigns or prize tournaments such as role-playing,massively multiplayer or collectible game.

Characters full name: Phaendrix Xenturi
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Characters morals: Phaendrix is quite friendly despite his rather dark, mysterious appearance. He wishes to sell various goods and alchemical items in towns as his occupation is both an alchemist and a merchant. He also wishes to learn how to hone his skills at Shadow Magic. (Quite different from Dark Magic.)
Characters Backstory: Phaendrix is an Endar, a resident of the world Finend which the Humans refer to as, "The End." An extremely dark world with bottomless pits into the void, Finend is not a very safe place. Especially with the beasts known as Endermen roaming around. Tall, slim, and ravenous, the Endermen are a large group of barbarians that worship a deity known as Endeath, a colossal dark dragon. The Endermen wreaked havoc on the various villages atop the isles of Finend, in fact so that many Endar fled, or succumbed to the Endermen’s glare.
Phaendrix’s parents were taken by the Endermen as a sacrifice to Endeath when Phaendrix was 15. He was then raised by Varendae, who acted both as his parent and his mentor. Phaendrix was taught in the way of the Shadows, as Varendae was the chief of the Shadow Tribe. Phaendrix didn’t really have many friends, considering there weren’t many children his age in the Shadow Tribe. So Phaendrix lived a fairly lonely life.
8 years passed as Phaendrix learned Shadow Magic, and Varendae, now over 9000 (lol) years old, was slowly dying of age. On his death bed, he bestowed to Phaendrix an ancient pendant with a pearl on the end of it. Varendae explained to Phaendrix that the source of the barbaric Endermen’s teleportation magic, lay in what he called, an Ender Pearl. This pearl however, was not the same as the other pearls. This pearl was the pearl of Enduth, the ancestor of the dragon, Endeath. Enduth had attacked their tribe nearly 4309 years ago, and was soundly defeated through the use of the Shadow Tribe’s advanced shadow magic. Anytime the dragon deity is killed, it is reincarnated into a small egg at the top of a shrine on Ender Island, the island where the Endermen reside and the dragon roams. The Endermen merely have to wait for said egg to hatch to retrieve their newborn deity.
The Enduth pearl on the amulet grants the wearer the ability to teleport away from danger whenever in harm’s path, similar to how the Endermen avoid being killed. Phaendrix accepted the gift given to him by his late mentor and friend, and decided there was nothing left to live for in Finend. He decided to try and locate the Ender Island and destroy Endeath to avenge his parents. He traveled miles and miles via simple teleportation magic, not as advanced the Enduth pearl however. After traveling for about a year, Phaendrix found the accursed isle, black pillars shooting up to the sky where the ugly beast roamed.
He set foot on the island and was instantly attacked by a herd of Endermen. The dragon, perched atop the pillar looked at him with its glowing eyes, and commanded the Endermen to dispose of him. However, the Enduth pearl began to glow, and vibrate rapidly. Suddenly, Phaendrix disappeared and reappeared a few meters away from the group of Endermen. Phaendrix ran the opposite direction, with the sound of a violent moaning and growling steadily growing louder and louder behind him. Phaendrix spotted the shrine, where the egg was always reincarnated, and he jumped into the water of the shrine, and everything went dark.
Phaendrix woke up. He could hardly see anything as this place was so bright, the sky, and all the different colors. His eyes eventually did adjust as he scouted the area around him. He obviously was not in Finend anymore. A small animal with a red patch under its chin walked up to Phaendrix and make a ‘cluck’ noise. This startled Phaendrix, as he had never seen such a creature before. He looked at this animal, and then looked down at his chest, where he saw the pearl. Then, he understood what had just happened. He had teleported to another dimension.
In an attempt to gain his bearings, (and his sanity) Phaendrix walked and walked and walked and walked, even through the night, when his eyes were more accustomed to the lack of light. After hiking over a large hill, Phaendrix saw a small village. He then had the idea to teach the ways of his people to the people of this dimension and share the skills and items of his dimension. He would become a merchant…a magical merchant.

Characters full name: Terrowin Janshai
Gender: Male
Age:27
Characters morals: Terrowin has no morals. He will do anything to advance his own plans, no matter who it hurts.
Characters Backstory:
Terrowin started life as a happy little boy, lived in the large town of Ingis. Terrowin was the son of Ayleth and Hadrian, who worked as alchemists for the Cult of Agaricum.
The cult experimented with the darker sorts of magic and created things like the dark gate to a fiery dimension and potions of different effects. Terrowin often found himself reading the Necromancy and alchemy books and scrolls his parrents weren't using at the time. He learned many dark secrets of necromancy and alchemy like the Philosopher’s Stone with the capability to turn base metals into noble metals and other transmutation rituals. Terrowin had a fascination with magic from a very young age. He practiced everything he learned out of sight from his parents.
Around the age of 15, his parents left to a gathering of the cult. They were going to summon something from the darkest pits of the void. Terrowin was out with some of his friends when the beast struck his town. A three-headed beast of darkness attacked without warning destroying all in its path. Terrowin hid underneath bodies and rubble from the beast's wrath until it passed out of sight. When he arrived at the altar's location he found his mother dead with a aura of darkness decaying her from the outside in. His father was unconscious and dying from blood loss. The rest of the cult was either dead or had fled from the scene. He grabbed any scrolls or tomes he could find and began frantically searching through them in an attempt to find a healing potion recipe to help his dying father in time. By the time he had gone through one tome, Hadrian was already dead.
Terrowin returned to his house the next day, after crying himself to sleep next to the bodies of his dead parents. He grabbed the essentials he would need to bring, along with some magical tomes that were scatterd around the bloodied ground. He filled up his burlap sack with everything he would need to bring. Some of the items he brought along was his father's robe, the ceremonial blade known as Letum, the Medallion of the Dark Patron, the Tome of Summoning, and some food and spare clothes.
He began his journey to start a new Cult of Agaricum. He arrived in a new town close to the diseased, decaying rubble of his home land. The town was named Insulus, named after one of the believed gods in the area. Terrowin found work with the local alchemist and got by with very little to spare. He spent his days helping curing the people he hated. They were so happy and had money, while he slept in the streets making enough money to buy himself a loaf of bread. Every day for 6 years, he slowly nurtured his magical abilities, while his burning hatred for life and all its creations festered. And that alchemist...he was a happy, bubbly man with many joys. He was so happy all the time....all the time. His eyes glowed a happy blue color that just made Terrowin sick to his stomach every time he cast his sight upon him. One night Terrowin snapped and decided to end this pitiful town. Their foolish emotions and material things. Dressed in the bloodied shrouds of his father, he grabbed his golden blade, Letum. and found a happy, little man walking the streets at night. Terrowin started following him with his head crooked to the side and his eyes peeking through the veil of his hood. The blade glistened in his hand from the passing torches and from the blood of smaller animals he'd slayed in the nights shroud. He stepped rhythmically to the beats of the man's heart that echoed through the alley. Terrowin had already broken the mans leg with a metal bar lying on the ground by the time the man had noticed him trailing behind him. He worked slowly and enjoyed every last moment of the man's screaming and pleas for help. Terrowin hit him again but this time in the head, knocking him into an unconscious state. When the man woke, he was lying on a stone slab, chained to it like an animal.
The lights burned his eyes when he looked around to take in his surroundings. He started calling for help when he noticed a hooded figure standing at his feet. The man's eyes were a strange sight, as one was green and the other blue. He had a crooked smile with small speckles of blood on his chest and face. The Medallion on his chest gleamed a teal color and sent chills up his spine just seeing it. His robe had red accent to the trim. His belt seemed to be made of a leather material resembling the likes of human skin, a golden buckle glinting wickedly. The hooded man began to saunter over to the chained man and that’s when he began to struggle and panic more. He raised the golden blade to his chest, gently tracing along the skin. The hooded man's smile grew a little as he pressed harder and punctured the skin.
Terrowin finished with collecting the main organs and blood of the man who had so foolishly gone walking at night. Terrowin returned to the city to the alchemists shop, covered in blood and holding a suspicious sack. He immediately caught the eye of everyone he passed as he continued his walk to the alchemist. He began drawing circles within circles and stars and other shapes in the blood he collected from his last victim. When he had just about finished with the last touches and placing the summoning book on the counter, the alchemist had caught wind of the news and burst through the door. Terrowin glanced up with that demented smile of his and finished his summon with "Si vos vere respiciebat ad hoc usque, patibula ad vos" and dropped a glowing torch into the center of the circle. A glowing fire emanated from the circle and it engulfed the immediate area in a null fire. A golden beast with fire swirling all around it looked up at the alchemist. The old man began to tremble in his boots and turned to run just as a ball of fire struck him in the back, knocking him to the ground and engulfing him in fire. Terrowin went for the book of summoning but saw it was also covered in the beast's fire and would never be used again. Terrowin smiled as the beast of fire destroyed the town with no remorse. He waited until the beast's fire touched everything in the town and every body sizzled.
The next day Terrowin traveled in a new direction after collecting his things. As he left behind the burning city, he noticed a map of the lands and saw a kingdom in the far north called Bettramia. He smiled to himself and thought of new kingdom; maybe they were a bit more to his...taste.
Terrowin traveled many miles through many towns and forests, through night and day. The rain poured down on him on some nights and others he was greeted by darkness, the undead, and other creatures local to the area. He decided to sleep for the night at the base of a hill within eye sight. After he awoke, he opened his eyes, and rolled over. He glanced around with his sword in hand like every morning. Terrowin gathered his things and walked up to the top of the hill to see a small kingdom glow in the distance with large buildings and people around. He only smirked as he walked towards the city.

What does OOC and IC mean: Out Of Character and In Character
What is metagaming and powergaming: Definitions change between person to person. But.. Here's my personal definition of the words.
Metagaming - Using outside information (IE: A IGN floating above someone to see them through walls, using OOC information IC, ect.) to benefit your character that he/she would not know.
Powergaming - Making your character invincible. Never getting hit or never dying, ect.

Characters full name: Zack Unisaki
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Characters morals: Well..He doesn't really have any set morals.
Characters Backstory:
The day had just begun. The sun shone down through the cracks of a run down shack belonging to Andaria Unisaki, who was now delivering her new son. The shack was obviously not a good environment for a child, but it didn't matter. In minutes Andarias new son, Zack, was born. His father was off on a trip searching for some kind of ruins at this time. Years passed and Zack grew, and was smart for his age. He learned to walk and talk earlier than the others (but only by about a month.)
At the age of seven, Zack started attending school.. It was recently that the town he lived in allowed poor people to attend a school house. His father spent all his time looking for fancy ruins and treasure, which of course didn't earn them much money. The teacher found he was exceptionally bright, but because of his wealth status no body wanted him to get ahead of the others. He was also experimenting with knives.. He widdled sometimes, course he didn't make anything great but it was a start.
At ten Zack had exceeded the brain power of his classmates, even the rich kids, who of course picked on him for being poor. Zack kept practicing with his knife, he had managed to carve out little sculptures and such with it. Around that time his father returned with enough money to last them through his next trip. His father took him outside and tried to teach him to use a sword, to defend his mother. Zack wasn't exactly up to par with a long bladed weapon. When his father gave up, he said he could do anything with a dagger. His dad of course thought it was funny, that anyone could choose a small dagger over a sword. Zack came outside, and threw the knife at the hay target his father had set up. The dagger landed in the arm of the target. His father laughed, and left the next day for another trip.
Zack was now thirteen.. Things had changed. He was now finally put into advanced class rooms instead of being stuck with the others. He was adept at science and math.. Of course in a time they lived in it wasn't very useful in the real world. He had spent three years practicing with that dagger.. He could now at least hit the chest every time. He had a girlfriend too, she isn't very important to our story though. One day a few rich kids from his old class cornered him against his house.. They were mad about his "skipping ahead" so they beat him up. He went to bed with four broken bones and several bruises, as he refused to fight back.
It had been four years.. Zack was now seventeen, and was on the brink of adult hood. He had now spent seven years of his life practicing with his dagger. He could hit a target dead between the eyes, at least standing still. He hunted and gathered food for him and his mother. His dad ventured home.. This time.. With no money. Nothing. They could not afford food.. And Zack was at his edge. He and his dad yelled and argued constantly.. When his dad brought up that he couldn't even fight, he threw his dagger. It landed.. and stuck in wood directly above his dads head. That night he left the house with the parting words "Your lucky I missed." He proposed to his girlfriend, and they were to be married in a year.
One year later, a day before his marriage.. Pain struck Zack at his heart. His wife had been found dead.. Stabbed. They said a thief had done it. Everything had no meaning now.. He had no family, and no love. He took every dagger he owned.. a total of three and set out. He vowed that he would find his wifes killer. And find him, he did.
It had taken over eight years of research, looting, killing, bargaining, and more to find out who killed his wife. When he found the man, he was just an old guy.. Starving slowly in a hut. Zack had no morality left however.. Nothing mattered other than vengeance And when he had it.. He hit the same rock all avengers do. Nothingness. He had nothing else to do with his life. He had betrayed his village. He had given up any education. He left his family. Nothing. That's when he set off to find meaning in his life..
You have a good back story but you must keep in mind that public education is rare in a medieval setting. If Zack was lucky enough to get an education, it would either be from a church/synagogue/mosque. If thats the case he would also get religious studying as well as a normal education. If you keep that in mine then I'll say APPROVED

When Raucus returned to his home in Urtalthur, he learned of a sea trader going to the new kingdom of Bettramia, wanting to find this new land, and be one of the first to reach it, he happily signed up as first mate of the ship Tiberius, that traveled to Bettramia, with a eager first mate, ready for adventure.

At this time, we aren't introducing races, so your character can't be endar. Also try to re-explain meta/power gaming in your own words, because I want to make sure that you know the difference your self. Just change those two things and you'll be all set

Terrowin often found himself reading the Necromancy and alchemy books and scrolls
his parrents weren't using at the time. He learned many dark secrets of necromancy and alchemy like the Philosopher’s Stone with the capability to turn base metals into noble metals and other transmutation rituals. Terrowin had a fascination with magic
from a very young age.
When he arrived at the altar's location
he found his mother dead with a aura of darkness decaying her from the outside in. His father was unconscious and dying from blood loss. The rest of the cult was either dead or had fled from the scene. He grabbed any scrolls or
tomes he could find and began frantically searching through them in an attempt to find a healing potion recipe to help his dying father in time. By the time he had gone through one tome, Hadrian was already dead.
Terrowin returned to his house the next day, after crying himself to sleep next to the bodies of his dead parents. He grabbed the essentials he would need to bring, along with some magical tomes that were scatterd around the
bloodied ground.
Terrowin
found work with the local alchemist and got by with very little to spare.
Terrowin had already
broken the mans leg with a metal bar lying on the ground by the time the man had noticed him trailing behind him. He worked slowly and enjoyed every last moment of the man's screaming and pleas for help. Terrowin hit him again
but this time in the head, knocking him into an unconscious state.
His belt seemed to be made
of a leather material resembling the likes of human skin, a golden buckle glinting wickedly.
When he had just about
finished with the last touches and placing the summoning book on the counter, the alchemist had caught wind of the news and burst through the door. Terrowin glanced up with that demented smile of his and finished his summon with
"Si vos vere respiciebat ad hoc usque, patibula ad vos" and dropped a glowing torch into the center of the circle. A glowing fire emanated from the circle and it engulfed the immediate area in a null fire. A golden beast with fire
swirling all around it looked up at the alchemist. The old man began to tremble in his boots and turned to run just as a ball of fire struck him in the back, knocking him to the ground and engulfing him in fire. Terrowin went for the
book of summoning but saw it was also covered in the beast's fire and would never be used again. Terrowin smiled as the beast of fire destroyed the town with no remorse. He waited until the beast's fire touched everything in the town and
every body sizzled.
Great story, and awesome skin. I'm a little scared of you though now. Didn't know you could be so sociopathy. APPROVED
