1) Your hosting from home. You should not have told us 192.168.1.76. any IP with 192.168.1 is a local IP address, nobody outside of your house can connect to it. Anyone inside your house uses this IP
2) You NEED the authors PERMISSION in order to publicly host a calamity server, he could sue you for copy right infringement.
3) Never EVER turn online-mode to false on a public server, hackers will come on and destroy your server.
Generally Local servers are gonna lag, the author of calamity might not care just because it's not a 24/7 server. If every household at atleast 5MB/s Upload speed it would be fine, but most don't. Anyone could host a small 10 player server with 5MB/s, if you were lucky and had 20MB/s that's the stuff! You could host that from your home. If you have a good PC with about 3GB of ram and a decent processor, you could probably host bukkit.
Generally people don't like locally run servers (due to lag)(servers run out of your home) I've seen some servers where they have a dedicated server right in their house and they have 100MB/s upload speed. (One of the best FTB servers is run locally, it has less lag then any other ftb-server.)
1) Maybe you should try and get on my server and see how it is. If it lags let me know.
2) That's interesting i thought everyone had permission since the download is up for grabs. And its not like i am taking any credit for the map.
3)Thank you for this tip. I will keep it in mind.
I will consider bukkit.
This is just for fun. I was hoping to get some people playing some Minecraft Calamity .
My server is currently unavailable but 193.35.58.48:25570 will probably be available sometime tonight. When it is on i will be sure to post on this forum so keep an eye out.
I attempted to join but the server is running off of a different version of minecraft, what version is it? And how would i backdate my minecraft? Thank you for hosting a server, its awesome to have the chance to play
Sorry guys, I went back to my boarding school, so i was not able to host the server. BUT its finally summer. So i will consider making another one. No promises though, the weather here have been really effecting my internet.

No he can't. Both Moesh and this user live in the united states meaning that fair use is in play here. Hosting a server and playing calamity is completely in the realm of fair use Also, the map is in the public domain meaning that it player can do anything with the map as long as they don't claim credit for the map.
Ip isnt whitelisted it is just offline. To be honest i dont see it comming back on anytime soon. Sorry but if anything does come up i will be sure to post on the forum have a good summer
I am sure many of you have heard of Minecraft Calamityand that is exactly what we will be playing.
